Ergonomic seating 

PantoSwing–LuPo Flexchair 

This elegant chair was created by the world 

famous designer Verner Panton. It combines 

the ultimate ergonomic seat shape with 

dynamic frame movement. The single piece 

seat shell is blow moulded thick polypropylene 

with a textured surface and seat perforations 

allowing it to breathe. Attachment to the 

tubular steel framework is by four solid 

moulded polypropylene strap plates each 

attached by three screws. This original design 

has been widely copied – beware of imitations, 

they are inferior.

Compass-Move-LuPo 

This mobile version of the Compass chair 

has the deceptively simple elegance of a very 

practical design. They are ideal for use in 

flexible learning spaces where students are not 

all facing forward. 

Also as most ICT desking and workstations are 

produced at a fixed height there is often no 

benefit in having chairs with height adjustment. 

The superb Verner Panton designed shell 

ensures that the correct posture is maintained

Basic Glide 

This chair uses the same oval tubular steel 

framework as the LuPoGlide chair and is also 

offered with a 30 year warranty when used in 

PFI projects. The chairs have a deep moulded 

ergonomically shaped beech plywood seat 

and back, are rivet attached and can be clear 

varnished or supplied in a range of designer 

colours. As with the LuPoGlide, the chairs 

stack and are designed with special buffers 

under the seat framework to store cleanly on 

a table surface.

LuPo-Glide 

This is the most popular educational chair 

in Europe and in the thirty five years it has 

been in production over 6 million have been 

produced and are mainly still in use. It is so 

robust that VS offer a 30 year warranty when 

they are used in PFI projects. The welded oval 

tubular steel framework is robotically produced 

and is available in a wide range of colours or 

chrome. The ergonomically shaped seat and 

back are blow moulded thick polypropylene 

with a textured surface and a perforated aircushion

Panto-Move-LuPo 

This ICT swivel chair uses the Verner Panton 

designed, ergonomic, one piece blow moulded, 

double panelled polypropylene seat and back 

shell. 

The surface has a textured finish and the 

seat is perforated allowing it to breathe. It 

has a five star cast aluminium base which can 

be fitted with castors or glides. The height

This is the mobile version of the VS best selling 

Lupo-Glide chair which is available in three 

fixed heights and also with a gas strut height 

adjustable version. 

The ergonomically shaped seat and backrest are 

double paneled blow moulded polypropylene 

which have textured surfaces. The seat is 

described as air cushion because it has micro 

perforations which allow it to breath.

popular choice for educational establishments. 

The concept is that of the world famous 

designer Karl Nothelfer who combined 

good ergonomic principles with a practical 

construction. The seat and back are deeply 

moulded beech plywood which can be finished

Network 

This is one of the most popular tables 

available in the VS range. The reason for this 

is firstly that they are extremely versatile with 

applications from student desks through to the 

offices and other areas. Secondly these tables 

are cost effective. 

Network tables are available in twenty three 

sizes and shapes and in a wide choice of 

materials and colour finishes to suit a multitude 

of applications. 

Lite Table 

The VS Lite is a stackable lightweight table 

which has tubular aluminium framework and 

a super light top. They are fitted with castors 

on two legs making them very easy to move 

around and to be arranged in flexible learning 

spaces. They also stack up to eight tables high. 

However, the maximum to be wheeled around 

is four tables high.

Ergo III 

As the name suggests this is the ultimate in 

ergonomic desk design with both a variable 

geometry and height adjustable top. The 

angle of the top is steplessly adjustable up to

Special Needs Workstations 

All Nortek special needs variable height workstations are operated by a removable winding handle. 

A robust duty drive rod engages a bevelled gear box in the right hand leg and is connected to a 

gearbox in the left hand leg by a lateral connecting rod. The overall height adjustment is between 

670 and 970mm with standard feet or foot plates. When castors are fitted they add 75mm to 

the overall height.

Rectangular KINETIC Workstations & Fliptop Tables 

Right Angle KINETIC Tables 

This is a rectangular version of our market leading 

KINETIC 60° Workstation shown in the ICT section 

of this catalogue. It has a Dual function being 

a lap top workstation with it’s cable management 

provision and alternatively a table for written work. 

The storage tray under the top is used for books 

when a lap-top is in use and for the lap-top when 

written work is undertaken. 

It has an ultra durable 800mm x 600mm Trespa 

top which is counter balanced and the flip top 

mechanism has a lock-down latch to stop the top 

from tipping when horizontal. When the latch is 

released the top can be set vertically allowing a 

large number of tables to nest together and stored 

in a small place. 

Fliptop Table Range 

These versatile tables have braking castors 

and are easily re-positioned to produce a wide

The main benefit of this system is that it provides a single concentrated 

storage facility eliminating the need for perimeter cupboards thus 

maximizing the floor area and provides a presentation focus. 

Another important benefit is that it is designed to be retrofitted as 

shown over a pre-installed dado trunking system. 

Interactive white boards or touch screen plasma screens are fitted to 

the exposed wall in the centre. There are two sliding dry wipe surfaced

Lockers & personal shelves 

Lockers are often integrated into 

wall cupboard systems within form 

rooms, corridors and staff bases. 

In the latter they are sometimes 

combined with personal storage 

shelves for mail, etc. 

Drawers 

There are a number of standard 

drawer modules to choose from 

which are generally used as base 

units. All are 845mm high and 

available from 400mm to 1200mm 

wide. Drawer units are also 

combined with cupboards. 

Tray storage 

The system includes tray storage 

facilities using Gratnells plastic 

trays and moulded slide channels. 

Generally provided in base units 

but this facility can be added to 

tall cupboards also. 

Pigeon hole storage 

This facility is to provide individual 

storage locations for mail and other 

personal materials in staff bases 

and mail rooms. Each pigeon hole 

is provided with a swinging metal 

label holder used to identify each 

location. 

Adjustable shelves 

All cupboards in the range are 

provided with height adjustable 

shelves by way of holes drilled 

into the side panels in 25mm 

increments or being fitted with a 

pierced recessed metal track, again 

with holes on 25mm centres. 

Filing facilities 

This facility is generally used in 

administration areas. Two types 

of filing facility are available either 

as a telescopic suspension unit or 

with a filing frame fitted into a 

deep drawer. 

Laptop storage/charging 

A laptop and notebook computer 

storage and charging facility with 

space for 25 devices. It employs 

advanced electronic technology to 

manage the charging process with 

an integral micro-processor. The 

low voltage is produced by a cool 

running switchmode power supply. 

Individual tri-colour LED batterystate 

indicators are fitted at each 

storage location which show red for 

discharged, orange for partly charged 

and green for fully charged.

Probe Technic 

Probe Technic library shelving has slotted tubular steel end frames 

supplied in five standard heights from 1200 to 2300mm which are 

single and double sided. There is a range of shelves supplied in 750, 

900 and 1000mm widths, magazine display shelves and perforated 

steel end panels. 

Library Shelving 

The V/S LiBro-Wood library shelving system uses perforated solid 

beech single and double sided end frames. Shelves are laminate 

faced LIGNOpal timber with solid beech front edges and rear upstand. 

The shelves have holes in the underside to accept steel divider loops.
