BEYOND THE CURRICULUMWe aim to broaden the horizons of all the students by engaging them in learning beyond thecurriculum.We want the students to take all the opportunitiesavailable to them, from going on theatre trips tocompleting their own extended project qualification.As their interests and enthusiasms change we will workwith them to set up clubs and societies such as adebating club.Our aim is that all students will leave well equipped forthe next stage of their lives, whether it is university, ajob or a ‘gap year’. Students in the Sixth Form will becarefully guided through the whole process ofuniversity/careers applications. They have theopportunity to work with Members of the Drapers’Company from a variety of professions and have theopportunity to take part in work shadowing in a fieldrelevant to their future.The students are expected to play a large part in theschool and wider community. They will help to run theschool council, organise and run clubs in the school andhave the opportunity to visit the elderly in local carehomes.6
