ALUMNILaw Alumni Welcome William Pedutoto the 62nd Reunion DinnerJeanine L. DeBor, Director of Law Alumni Relations and DevelopmentThe School of Law and its alumni welcomed the 60th Mayorof Pittsburgh, William “Bill” Peduto, as their special guest andkeynote speaker at the annual reunion dinner on April 11.This year’s law alumni reunion dinner honored prominentalumni for their achievements in the profession, and belovedprofessors who will be missed after their retirements in the nexttwo years.The Law Alumni Association bestowed the DistinguishedAlumna Award on Mary Grealy, L’78. Grealy is president ofHealthcare Leadership Council, a coalition of chief executivesof the nation’s leading health care companies and organizations.She is an expert in the field of health care policy and has ledimportant initiatives including Medicare reform and protectingthe privacy of patient medical information. Grealy was alsorecently appointed to the new Dean’s Health Law Advisory Board.The Outstanding Achievement Award was given to NicholasJ. DeIuliis, L’02, president and chief executive officer of CONSOLEnergy, Inc. DeIuliis has more than 23 years of experience withthe company and was the president and CEO of CNX GasCorporation from 2005-2009. He is also a registered professionalengineer and received his MBA from Duquesne in 1994.Mark Yochum, master of ceremonies extraordinaire, andS. Michael Streib, L’79, director emeritus of the Trial AdvocacyProgram, received the LAA’s Meritorious Service Awards.Yochum has been teaching at the School of Law for 30 years,launched the Dean John J. Sciullo Continuing Legal Educationprogram, and has presented over 200 CLE programs since 1993.Under Streib’s leadership, the Trial Moot Court program hasexperienced an unprecedented level of success over the lastseveral years, including the coveted Tournament of Champions.Many classes celebrated their reunions at the dinner, withthe class of 1974 having the largest showing.
