in the field. From the first modular<br />
system for the quantitative deter-<br />
mination of Specific IgE, using an<br />
isotopic method introduced in the<br />
market ( RAB ®, 1986 ) , to the<br />
latest line for the determination of<br />
allergen-specific IgEs in human<br />
serum or plasma: Allergen System.<br />
From that first radioactive method,<br />
<strong>Radim</strong> later developed ( 1993)<br />
an innovative line for rapid specific<br />
IgE testing: CARLA ® System<br />
( C apture Assay <strong>Radim</strong> Liquid<br />
allergens ) . CARLA has continu-<br />
ously evolved, thanks to <strong>Radim</strong> ’ s<br />
commitment to fulfill the user ’ s<br />
need for a sensitive, precise and<br />
user friendly diagnostic system.<br />
Along side these methods the<br />
<strong>Radim</strong> R&D Department has de-<br />
veloped three generations of auto-<br />
mated equipment for microplate<br />
ELISA testing to achieve the high-<br />
est evolution in microplate automa-<br />
tion: AlISEI, BRIO, BRIO 2 and the<br />
newest BRIO 2 PLUS.<br />
