All militarypersonnel who are either on active duty,retired or served in any war to support anddefend our country are honored duringthis time period. Trees are set up in eachlibrary and are decorated with white lightsand yellow ribbons. The white lightssymbolize those who were unable to returnhome to their families and the yellowribbons symbolize our wish that all servingmilitary return home safely. All personnelon each base are invited to add loved onesphotos to the tree. Children from the CDCsdecorate pictures <strong>of</strong> their hero and adornthe trees before Veterans’ Day. Please senda picture <strong>of</strong> your child’s hero to the CDCswhen requested. Children areencouraged through verbal imagery, theuse <strong>of</strong> props and age appropriate thememusic.Dance I, ages 4-6, 45 minute classThis class incorporates pre-ballet, beginningtap, creative movement. It featuredevelopment <strong>of</strong> basic steps, vocabularyand movement, while maintaining a funand positive atmosphere. Students willlearn short dances and play games thatenhance cognitive and social developmentand prepare them for further ballet and taptraining. There is a major emphasis on cooperation,participation and encouragement.7Dance II, ages 7-11, 1 hour classThis class reviews basic skills <strong>of</strong> ballet andtap. Jazz work will also be introduced. Thisclass builds coordination, syncopation,balance and thinking skills.
