EXETER COLLEGE DONORS’ REPORT | 09EXETER COLLEGE DONORS’ REPORT | 09VolunteersThe re-launch of the Annual Fund last year providedvolunteers with more opportunities to encourage theircontemporaries to make a gift to the <strong>College</strong> each year.Volunteers also help coordinate eventsand encourage others to attend, and helpthe <strong>College</strong> find those Old Memberswho have moved and for whom we do nothave a current address.Year group volunteers have helped usenormously by undertaking a variety oftasks including:• emailing year group membersat the end of the financial yearand encouraging them to give tothe Annual Fund• sending Christmas cards as a thankyou to those who have donated• contacting contemporaries toinvite them to Gaudies and otherrelevant events• making contact with ‘lost’Old Members• advising the DevelopmentOffice on events and publicationsMost year groups have at least onerepresentative who acts as the linkbetween their contemporaries andthe <strong>College</strong>. If you are in any of thefollowing year groups and are interestedin being involved in the exciting thingsthat are happening in <strong>College</strong> overthe next few years, then we would bedelighted to hear from you.Years without volunteers: 1944, 1946,1949, 1961, 1981, 1982, 1992, 1993,1995, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005,2006, 2007.In addition, if there are any OldMembers who came to <strong>Exeter</strong> to gaina Graduate degree, were part of theWilliams at <strong>Exeter</strong> programme or anyParents who would like to be involvedin this way, please do contact theDevelopment Office.In light of the launch of <strong>Exeter</strong> Excelling, we are actively looking for volunteerswho are interested in becoming more involved with the <strong>College</strong>’s fundraisingactivities across the year groups. If you are interested in helping <strong>Exeter</strong> in thisway or would like more information, please contact the Development Office.Legatorsand Legacy PledgesLeaving a legacy or bequest is a wonderful way of supporting<strong>Exeter</strong>, and ensuring that <strong>College</strong> will continue to flourishin the years ahead, particularly if you wish to make a substantialgift to the <strong>College</strong> but are unable to do so in your lifetime.We are very grateful to all those who remembered <strong>Exeter</strong> in their wills andare delighted to take the opportunity honour them below. A further 24 OldMembers in the past year have informed us that they are leaving a legacy to<strong>Exeter</strong>.
