(B)Day 2 SarajevoExplore this fascinating and complex city.Visit the oriental Bascarsija, stop for Turkishcoffee at Halvat café or at Morica Han, shopfor handicrafts or try the local beer at Pivnica(the old Sarajevska brewery). (B)Optional Tour of Sarajevo Environs:After your free morning, drive to thesurrounding hills and villages for a panoramicview of the city. We include a traditional lunchat Biban Restaurant set amongst the hillsabove the city. Also included are some warrelatedsites, such as the Tunnel Museum. Thisprivate museum shows part of the tunnel,built underneath the airport in order to getprovisions to besieged Sarajevo and thusprovided a lifeline for many inhabitants.Day 3 Sarajevo to MostarTake one of the frequent buses and enjoy theview (journey takes around 2½ hours). Checkin to hotel for 2 nights. (B)Day 4 MostarThe charming, ancient Old Town of Mostarwas developed on different levels linked bycobbled and paved streets (beware they canget slippery after rain). Visit the iconic bridgeand the museum dedicated to its history.Evenings are the time when you can reclaimthe city for yourself, after the coachloads ofday trippers go back to Croatia. The best viewsof the city and landmarks are definitely bynight, so dine at one of the many restaurantson the banks of the river for spectacularpanoramas. (B)Day 5 Mostar to SarajevoTake an optional excursion to nearby Blagajand visit the Tekke before taking a bus backto Sarajevo. Check in to hotel for overnightstay.
