<strong>Environmental</strong> <strong>Compliance</strong> BureauThe ECB is the DOT’s internal enforcement thatassures the correct and thoroughimplementation of the Plan and the dailycompliance of the permit.


Goals of the ECB• Prevent the initial movement of unprotected soils into Statewaters by implementing effective erosion control• To ensure compliance with 404 permits, local, state andfederal regulations• Attend field plan reviews and preconstruction conferences toassess possible erosion and sediment control problems,including Buffer Variances• Respond to <strong>GDOT</strong> Personnel, citizen and agency inquiries andconcern regarding erosion and sediment control on projects• To avoid or minimize the number of non-compliant DOTsites within the state.
