The content of the AMP shouldboth articulate the required asset outputs andsupport the achievement of those outputs. TheAMP does this through the development & deliveryof an effective management approach supported byeffective processes.This asset management planning training intensiveis suitable for:• All business activity types including mining,Defence, oil and gas, power generationand transmission, state and localgovernment and chemical industry• Any person who wishes to realise thebenefits from the effective use of assetswithin their organisation.About the presenters:Peter Kohler is a member ofthe International StandardsOrganisation (ISO) <strong>Asset</strong><strong>Management</strong> Committee -TC251. He is an engineeringprofessional with proven abilityto deliver innovative solutionsin the areas of riskmanagement, assetmanagement and maintenance engineering.Peter’s extensive career includes being an engineerCaptain in the Royal Australian Navy. Through hisnaval and commercial experience, he has gainedfirst hand knowledge regarding <strong>Asset</strong> <strong>Management</strong>in practice. After leaving the Navy, Peter founded acompany specialising in asset management(Capability by Design). With such experience andhaving been a diligent member of MESA since1993, Peter is a highly regarded figure in Australia’sasset management leadership. This was reinforcedwhen in 2005 when he was appointed to the Boardof the AM <strong>Council</strong>. Peter was again recognised forhis services in 2008 when he was granted a lifemembership of <strong>Asset</strong> <strong>Management</strong> <strong>Council</strong>.Peter Oliver is a partner in a CivilEngineering Construction companyat Tweed Heads in Northern NSW,which specializes in above andbelow ground pipeline andpumping station construction, aswell as Odour Control Engineering.Prior to working there he workedfor a small multi-national companyin Brisbane as their Senior OdourControl Engineer and Group <strong>Asset</strong>s Manager.He developed most of his <strong>Asset</strong> <strong>Management</strong>knowledge and experience within Gold Coast Waterwhere he spent nearly 19 years, starting in theworkshop as a Trade Assistant and working his wayup to Treatment Plants and Dams <strong>Asset</strong> Manager.He gained the trade qualification of a Fitter andTurner, then studied Engineering at the Universityof Southern Queensland by distance education. Hegraduated with an Associate Degree of MechanicalEngineering in 1998 and found a ‘desk job’ in <strong>Asset</strong><strong>Management</strong> soon after, as the Treatment Plants<strong>Asset</strong> Coordinator, caring for the assets of 2 WaterPurification Plants and 4 Sewage Treatment Plantsfor GCW. The last position he held before leavingthere 4 years ago was the Technical SpecialistTeam Leader, <strong>Asset</strong> Creation.Gary WinsorGary Winsor is anElectrical Engineer withover 26 yearsexperience in design,construction andmaintenance roles in railand electrical utilityinfrastructure. Whilst in the rail industry he spentseveral years as the District Electrical EngineerBlue Mountains and Senior Mains StandardsEngineer before taking roles of Systems AssuranceManager and Commissioning Manager for RSA forthe Sydney Airport Link project.
