At this time of yearyou can find plants such as Bee Orchids,Southern Marsh Orchids, Early Marsh Orchids,Marsh Speedwell, Common Eybright, WaterMint and Yellow Iris.A host of rare and very beautiful flowers canbe found here, along with a variety of mossesand lichen. The rich plant life of the reserveincludes over 30 species that are locally orregionally rare such as Petalwort.The LNR is also home to animals previouslycovered in The Nature Trail such as theNatterjack Toad and Sand Lizard.We also see rabbits, foxes and a variety of birdAinsdale and Birkdale Sandhills LocalNature Reservespecies.
