For more information and pricing, please contact IPC Sales and we will assist you.Chemical Ground RodsIPC has access to provide electrolytic grounding systems as an alternative product to conventionalgrounding systems. Chemical ground rods are installed where low-resistance grounding is critical inprotection of machinery, electronics, and personnel. Industries for consideration include: powerplants, utility substations, cell towers, communication centers, computer sites, and other generalcommercial and industrial sites. There are various standard vertical and horizontal models and larger custom sizes are alsoavailable. Units come complete with vented covers for easy inspection, a pigtail of copper cable, ground test well and replacements of the specially formulated ground enhancing materials. Call foryour specific application.Surge Protection DevicesIPC has several key manufacturing sources to turn to when it comes to surge protection devicesneeds. Whether your need is electrical, telephone, computer or CA/TV, our suppliers can provide thetechnical advice and recommendations that you need. As of September 29, 2009, UL revised theirstandard UL 1449 and the requirements for lightning protection systems. All surge protection devicesmust meet the requirements of UL 1449 Third Edition in order to secure a UL Master Label. Not all specifying or consulting engineers may be aware of this latest revision to UL 1449. If surgeprotection is this is not in your scope of supply, be sure that the party responsible for installation ofsurge protection devices is aware of these changes when a UL Master Label is required. A full list ofcompliant surge protection devices is available on the UL website. Call IPC today with your specificapplication needs and we will assist you with the proper equipment.Exothermic Welding DevicesIPC utilizes the thermOweld line of exothermic equipment when connections of this type are requiredor specified. The thermOweld process creates a permanent homogenous and molecular bond thatcannot loosen or corrode. Compared to compression connectors, split bolts, crimp connectors, brazing and other connections, the thermOweld connection is clearly superior. In fact, a thermOweldconnection will also withstand more current than the conductor itself. When mold, welds and other related equipment are needed, contact the IPC sales department andwe will assist you in the selection process. We will email you mold configuration sheets for selectingthe proper mold and welds and then IPC will order direct from thermOweld. One important thing toremember is that lightning protection cable is sized differently than electrical cables which effectsmold construction. Following is a thermOweld designed chart showing the code assigned for IPCcables:IPCCableIPC-22IPC-32SIPC-40IPC-21IPC-G3CableCodeACEGKOrders for thermOweld molds and related equipmentare special orders and are dropped shipped direct toyour designated location. Mold orders will normallyship within 1-3 days except special design molds whichare 4 days after thermOweld receives the order.60 Independent Protection Co., Inc.Ph: 574-533-4116 or 800-860-8388 Fax: 574-534-3719 www.ipclp.com
