- The group agreed to set up a working group that would have the aim to draft adocument <strong>for</strong> the CSN highlighting:‣ What is the CSN currently used <strong>for</strong> and what are the existing fields;‣ The business needs and what is expected (adding or changing fields);‣ The inclusion of security aspects and customs exchange.- Some members proposed to join the group, such as Axel Klein (Lufthansa), SteveHill (CHAMP). It was as well proposed to have members of the CDITF, CBPP andCUSAG as part of the group.- The group mentioned that EU requirements would need to be addressed as well.- IATA to start drafting the CSN functional specification and to set up the group.9. Discuss the development of the Cargo XML Manual- IATA mentioned to the Cargo XML Manual would be based on the existing Cargo-IMP manual and that Functional Specifications would be defined in that respect.- IATA explained that the manual would include:‣ XML structure, Descriptions, <strong>for</strong>mats, code lists, cardinality, Cargo-IMPreferences‣ XML schemas‣ International Standard used‣ User list (based on a survey on “who is using what”).- The members reiterated the need to include in the manual some businessprocesses and implementation guidelines as well as technical recommendationon the physical exchange communication.- IATA to keep the group up to date on the progress of the manual and to share thefunctional specification <strong>for</strong> feedback.10. Discuss the Proof of Concept progress- IATA asked the members to provide updated in<strong>for</strong>mation on the IATA XMLstandard message Proofs of Concepts (PoC).- Members stated that the PoCs were on going. Brian Toms (Delta) mentioned thatDelta joined the Unisys and Kuehne & Nagel PoC.- Members asked if the Flight Manifest message would be piloted as it was a keymessage <strong>for</strong> the movement of freight and stressed that as a group they wouldneed to ensure that the specifications were validated by means of PoCs.- Members reiterated that not only message should be piloted but also the processitself.- A member mentioned that an implementation plan could be defined to share thevision with the Industry.- Members to keep the group up to date on the progress of the proofs of concepts.Page 12 of 16
