This is a published code thatthose w<strong>or</strong>king in the real estate industry must follow. The code outlinesduties of real estate agents to their clients and is a reference pointf<strong>or</strong> discipline.• Inf<strong>or</strong>mation that will help you through the property buying and sellingprocess. This includes two Approved Guides that ensure you have theinf<strong>or</strong>mation you need at the most imp<strong>or</strong>tant stages of the residentialproperty buying <strong>or</strong> selling process – the signing of an Agency Agreement andthe signing of a Sale and Purchase Agreement. You must be given a copy ofthe relevant guide bef<strong>or</strong>e you sign either of these agreements. The ApprovedGuides relate to the buying and selling of residential property only and willonly be given to you if you are buying <strong>or</strong> selling a residential property.• Higher industry standards as a result of increased entry requirements andcontinuing education.• A searchable register of real estate agents that helps you to make aninf<strong>or</strong>med decision when choosing the person to sell your property.
