PAGE 4Occupant Engagement Program (OEP)TD <strong>Centre</strong> has implemented numerous strategies that continue to set business operations on coursefor protecting the planet and lead change in Corporate Canada and the Canadian marketplace. Theseinclude retrocommissioning, water use reductions, lighting retrofits, extensive recycling and wastediversion programs, and the LEED-EB Gold certification of the TD North Tower/77 King Street West.<strong>Tenant</strong>s of the TD <strong>Centre</strong> have also taken great strides in greening their own organizational practices.TD <strong>Centre</strong> is committed to building sustainability together with its tenants and is doing so by bringingawareness to all sustainable initiatives at the TD <strong>Centre</strong> and providing a forum for mutual learning andcollaborative solutions. As part of this commitment, TD <strong>Centre</strong> has engaged the consulting servicesof Jones Lang LaSalle, a design, planning and delivery solutions firm focused on sustainability, tofacilitate and deliver a tenant engagement strategy through its Occupant Engagement Program. Thegoal of the program is to link all TD <strong>Centre</strong> and tenant sustainable initiatives.TD <strong>Centre</strong>’s Green CouncilThe TD <strong>Centre</strong>’s Green Council, made up of tenant representatives, will act as a foundational element indeveloping and driving the TD <strong>Centre</strong>’s engagement program, acting as the representative for the larger tenantbody. The Green Council’s mission is to act as the catalyst for change to sustainable green practices and greenconsciousness at TD <strong>Centre</strong> working towards a vision for a future that enhances the occupant experienceand work/life comfort at TD <strong>Centre</strong>. The council will work to holistically link all program delivery componentsincluding communications, education, technologies, green building operations & elements, and budget.Race to ReduceCivicAction’s Race to Reduce challenges <strong>Toronto</strong> office building landlords and tenants to commit towork together to reduce energy by at least 10% over four years.In 2012 TD <strong>Centre</strong> was recognized with the Action and Innovation award for the Occupant EngagementProgram and Green Council.
