.TH E APPROPRIATION ACT, <strong>1954</strong>No. 5 OF <strong>1954</strong>An Act to authotise payment <strong>and</strong> appropriarion <strong>of</strong> certainfurther sums from <strong>and</strong> out <strong>of</strong> the .Consolidated Fund<strong>of</strong> India for the service <strong>of</strong> the financial year 1953-54., _ [ 18th March, <strong>1954</strong> 1*BE it enacted by Parliament as follows:-1. Short title.-This Act may be called the Appropriation Act, !<strong>1954</strong>. I2. Issue <strong>of</strong> Pes. 83,89,12,000 out <strong>of</strong> ~onsolidated Fund <strong>of</strong> India forthe year 1953-54.-From <strong>and</strong> out <strong>of</strong> the Consolidated Fund o&Indiathere may be paid <strong>and</strong> applied sums not exceeding those specifiedin column 3 <strong>of</strong> the Schedule amounting in the aggregate to the sum<strong>of</strong> eighty-three crores, eighty-nine lakhs <strong>and</strong> twelve thous<strong>and</strong>rupees towards defraying the several charges which will come incourse <strong>of</strong> payment during the financial year 1953-54, in respect <strong>of</strong> thoservices specified in column 2 <strong>of</strong> the Schedule.3.
