Care and <strong>Counseling</strong>Services, under theguidance of <strong>Baptist</strong> <strong>Health</strong><strong>South</strong> <strong>Florida</strong>’s PastoralCare Services, provides confidentialand compassionatecounseling support to individualsseeking help duringcrisis or opportunities for growth and enrichmentin their lives. Our pastoral counselorsdraw upon spiritual and behavioral healthresources in helping clients to achieve ahealthy balance with their emotions, behaviorand relationships. We provide high-quality,faith-based counseling and education servicesto individuals, families and congregationsin our community.
Our Guiding PrincipleThrough our compassionate, interfaithsupportive services, we seek to providehope and transformation of lives whilerevealing the healing presence of God.Counselors With Expertiseand ExperiencePastoral counselors are endorsed bytheir denominations for ministry in specializedsettings. In addition to theologicaleducation and ministry experience, ourpastoral counselors have advanced trainingin counseling and hold state licenses inmarriage and family therapy, mental healthcounseling or clinical social work, or theymay be under the direct supervision of astate-licensed supervisor.<strong>Counseling</strong> FeesFees will be agreed upon between thecounselor and client during the initial session.Subsidies may be available to qualifyingclients and families. <strong>Baptist</strong> <strong>Health</strong><strong>South</strong> <strong>Florida</strong> believes an important part ofits mission is to provide affordable, faithbasedcounseling services.
Convenient LocationsCare and <strong>Counseling</strong> Services’ mainoffice is located at the Pastoral Care Centerat <strong>Baptist</strong> Hospital of Miami, 8900 NorthKendall Drive. Additional counseling officesare located at different sites in the GreaterMiami area. We can assist you in finding alocation that is convenient for you and yourfamily.Making an AppointmentYou may be referred by your congregation’sleadership, and self-referrals are alsowelcome.
