The offender is also expected tomake necessary changes <strong>in</strong> awareness andproblem solv<strong>in</strong>g skills. Skill development isobserved and measured by tra<strong>in</strong>ed staff.November 17, 2010Any recommendations to the Board of Pardonsand Parole perta<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g to an offender's treatmentprogress must have the approval of the Cl<strong>in</strong>ical<strong>Treatment</strong> Team and are required to besupported by assessment results.The Community Correctional Center treatmentprogram takes <strong>in</strong>to account (for offenderstransferred from prison) previous treatmentresults and progress. It may require up to 12months for completion. Successful completion isrequired prior to release to aftercare and is basedupon assessment criteria determ<strong>in</strong>ed by theCCC’s treatment committee.Aftercare, a relapse prevention componentdesigned for offenders who have eithersuccessfully completed treatment <strong>in</strong> the prisonand/or at a CCC, is required for sex offenders.This component may employ supervised supportgroups as well as group and <strong>in</strong>dividual therapy asspecified. The offender undergoes periodicassessment.
