Advertisements are carried out in nine languages viz., English, Hindi, Gujarati,Marathi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu and Bengali.These advertisements are aired from <strong>November</strong> <strong>2006</strong> over a period of about three months.Towards education of Business Partners etc :Seminars on Anti Money Laundering law: In order to educate DPs about the guidelines of Anti Money Launderinglaw, a series of seminars on were organized as under:PlaceDateNew Delhi October 14, <strong>2006</strong>Kolkata <strong>November</strong> 3, <strong>2006</strong>Mumbai <strong>November</strong> 17, <strong>2006</strong>Ahmedabad <strong>November</strong> 18, <strong>2006</strong>Hyderabad <strong>November</strong> 29, <strong>2006</strong>Chennai <strong>November</strong> 30, <strong>2006</strong>Seminars in Kolkata, Hyderabad and Chennai are organized by Association of NSE Members of India (ANMI) inassociation with <strong>NSDL</strong>. Mr. Pradeep Goel, Assistant Director, Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) - India addressedthe participants. About 250 representatives of DPs attended these seminars.Training Programme for Compliance Officers of DPs: <strong>NSDL</strong> conducted training programmes for complianceofficers of DPs. Areas covered during the training programmes were compliance requirements, inspection andinternal audit. The programmes were conducted at Mumbai (September 29, <strong>2006</strong> and <strong>November</strong> 3, <strong>2006</strong>), NewDelhi (October 5, <strong>2006</strong>), Kolkata (October 10, <strong>2006</strong>) and Chennai (October 13, <strong>2006</strong>). 230 representatives from 169DPs participated in these programmes.Training Programme for internal auditors of the DPs: During September <strong>2006</strong>, <strong>NSDL</strong> conducted trainingprogrammes for internal auditors of the DPs. Areas covered during these programmes were Account Opening,Dematerialisation / Rematerialisation, Settlement, Pledge and Hypothecation, Corporate Actions, Back officeoperations, critical aspects of Depository Participant Operations, Guidelines on internal audit, Compliance,Depository Participant Inspection; findings and perspectives, Anti Money Laundering Requirement and Systemsoverview. 176 representatives from various audit firms participated in these programmes.Training programmes for business partners: <strong>NSDL</strong> periodically conducts three-day training programmes forDPs and two-day training programmes for Issuers / R & T Agents.
