Installing profiles:<br />

Hewlett Packard Designjet 30, 90, 130<br />

Once profiles are downloaded and <strong>on</strong> the desk top, drag and drop the profiles into the proper folder<br />

(see below <str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g> path leading to the proper folder).<br />

PC users try right clicking <strong>on</strong> the profile then left click <strong>on</strong> Install Profile.<br />

Mac: OS 8-9x - System Folder > Color Sync Folder<br />

OS X - HD > User > Library > ColorSync > Profiles<br />

PC: Win 9x - C:/windows/system/color<br />

Win2000, XP - C:/windows/system32/spool/driver/color<br />

Windows NT - C:/winNT/system32/color<br />

Note: Photoshop® will need to be restarted if it was open when profiles were installed.<br />

Using profiles:<br />

Within “Print With Preview” and the print driver use the following settings. Be sure to select the<br />

proper profile <str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g> the printer, paper and ink combinati<strong>on</strong> you are using. Print drivers will vary from<br />

printer to printer and from Macintosh to PC but the general set up will be the same.<br />

In “Print with Preview”:<br />

Source Space : Document (recommended<br />

Adobe RGB (1998))<br />

Profile: as needed<br />

Intent: Perceptual<br />

Black Point Compensati<strong>on</strong>: Off<br />

For Hahnemuehle <strong>Fine</strong><strong>Art</strong> papers:<br />

Paper Type/Quality: „Other heavyweight coated papers“<br />

Quality: Best<br />

Color: Applicati<strong>on</strong> Managed Color<br />

For Hahnemuehle photographic type papers (glossy, luster, matte):<br />

Paper Type/Quality: „HP Premium Photo Paper Glossy“<br />

Quality: Best<br />

Color: Applicati<strong>on</strong> Managed Color<br />

Note:<br />

These setting were used to make the profiles and will give you good results. Varying these could<br />

affect the outcome of your image.<br />

There are other factors that can also affect the output, if need be please refer to your printer manual<br />

or image manipulati<strong>on</strong> program <str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g> additi<strong>on</strong>al color management issues.<br />
