Giveto the IIIHSAfrica Projectin Assisting South AfricanCaregivers and Institutionsfor Abandoned, Abused,and Sick ChildrenEach year in December, the International Institute of IntegralHuman Sciences sends a mission team to Africa,to assist South African caregivers and institutions whohave rescued and taken-in abandoned, abused, and sickchildren. We work with the Takalani Center in Soweto,which harbours 1,000 children and adults, the HelenBishop School for the Physically Challenged inKimberly, with 400 children, the Thuson Home for AbandonedChildren also in Kimberly, with 165 children, andthe African Independent Orthodox Church, whichserves thousands of the poorest of the poor over a 400km area. We bring encouragement and volunteer servicewith the caregivers, and provide donation cheques andlots and lots of food, clothes, toys, supplies, and equipmentfor the handicapped, abandoned, dying, abused, orphaned,and suffering children.All of the directors of these organizations are efficient,dedicated, and knowledgeable, but, of course, they lackfunds.
