The <strong>NACCHO</strong> Board (cont.)Marcus Clarke -VictoriaJason B King - VictoriaJason has worked in Aboriginal health and affairs since 2002. Jason’s first taste ofAboriginal Health employment was at Gippsland and East Gippsland AboriginalCo-operative (GEGAC) in 2002 as the HACC Coordinator.During this time he felt he needed to broaden his understanding of Aboriginalservices and commenced working at VACCA as a caseworker, advocating forthe rights of Aboriginal children under DHS Children Protection orders. He thenmoved to Ramahyuck, learning more about the protection of Victorian AboriginalCultural Heritage sites and artefacts, before moving on to the Justice Departmentas the Executive officer of RAJAC for Gippsland.Jason has been the CEO of GEGAC since April of 2008. GEGAC has grown from a$6m organisation to a $10m organisation and has an exciting building programfor the 21st century. He is very passionate about governance and strengtheningall Aboriginal community controlled organisations to better serve theircommunities and provide the best of health care to Aboriginal Australians.Wendy Moore - TasmaniaWendy is a Palawa women born and bred in Tasmania, mother of two youngchildren. She has been working in the Health Policy team at the TasmanianAboriginal Centre since 2006, and joined the <strong>NACCHO</strong> Board in 2012.Her grandmother “Aunty Ida West”, an Aboriginal matriarch, was born on theAboriginal reserve at Cape Barren Island. Her grandmother and father DarrellWest were tireless advocates for the Tasmanian Aboriginal community’s rights toland and social justice.
