CRUSADER CLUBBefore and After <strong>School</strong> CareWhat is <strong>Crusader</strong> <strong>Club</strong>?<strong>Crusader</strong> <strong>Club</strong> is a before and after school program providing <strong>Mission</strong> <strong>Viejo</strong> <strong>Christian</strong> <strong>School</strong> students a positive, engaging, andexciting out of school experience. Before and after school activities are provided in a fun, structured environment and facilitated byloving <strong>Christian</strong> staff. <strong>Crusader</strong> <strong>Club</strong> sets out to meet the physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual development of eachstudent. With safety as our main priority, we provide quality activities that assist every student to be creative, productive, anddevelop healthy relationships with peers and adults. The <strong>Crusader</strong> <strong>Club</strong> staff understands the importance of a good <strong>Christian</strong> rolemodel in children’s lives. That is why we intend to follow the Word of God in everything we do!Program Hours<strong>Crusader</strong> <strong>Club</strong> offers before school care from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM and after school care from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Since <strong>Mission</strong><strong>Viejo</strong> <strong>Christian</strong> <strong>School</strong> cares deeply about the safety of your child, he/she MUST be in <strong>Crusader</strong> <strong>Club</strong> if he/she arrives before 8:00AM or if he/she is not picked up by 3:00 PM, regardless if registered for <strong>Crusader</strong> <strong>Club</strong>. <strong>Crusader</strong> <strong>Club</strong> also offers care on halfdays from 12:30 PM to 6:00 PM. CC is open full days during most of the school breaks. Special sign-ups are available.Sign In/Out Procedures<strong>Crusader</strong> <strong>Club</strong> is located in the portables at the far end of the parking lot. Students will be escorted by their teachers to theportables and will be signed in by <strong>Crusader</strong> <strong>Club</strong> staff. Students MUST be signed out by a parent or authorized adult everyday. If you do not sign your child out with the time of pick up, you may be charged until 6:00 pm.We thank you so much for entrusting your child in our care! We are excited about the school year and desire to work together in apartnership with you to make <strong>Crusader</strong> <strong>Club</strong> a safe, fun and exciting place to be!Nancy Conzelman<strong>Crusader</strong> <strong>Club</strong> CoordinatorCRUSADER CLUB DAILY SCHEDULEMorning:7:00 - 8:00am Free Choice Activities (Board Games, Reading, Art, Puzzles, Homework, etc.)Afternoon:3:00 - 3:30pm Students will be escorted by their teachers to the portables and signed in by <strong>Crusader</strong> <strong>Club</strong> staff.Students will be given a snack (donated or otherwise) during this time, fellowship with friends andoutside play.3:30 - 4:00pm Devotions. The children are grouped according to age level and a portion of scripture is read and theyhave a discussion of its meaning and application.4:00 - 4:45pm Mandatory Homework Time in the two portables. Students are required to work on homework for atleast half an hour to 45 min. <strong>Crusader</strong> <strong>Club</strong> staff will be available for homework assistance.4:45 - 5:30pm Students may choose from a variety of different enrichment activities, including but notlimited to: Outside Games, Inside Games, Crafts, Special Events or Cooking.5:30 - 6:00pm Students will choose one of the following quiet activities: Quiet Time, Reading, Writing, Homework orQuiet Inside Games.Special EventsSpecial events are planned throughout the year for the children to participate in: Harvest Carnival,Super Bowl game, Easter Egg Hunt, Cooking, etc.ALSO: If any of you have any items that you think might help make <strong>Crusader</strong> <strong>Club</strong> activities better, feel free to donate them. Thekids love it when they are able to play with “new” toys or instruments. <strong>MVCS</strong> CRUSADER CLUB’S SCHEDULE OF FEES 2012-13The following information describes the various childcare enrollment plans offered to the families of <strong>Mission</strong> <strong>Viejo</strong> <strong>Christian</strong> <strong>School</strong>.REGISTRATION FEE:$25.00 Per Child, Max: $50.00 Per FamilyMONTHLY PLANS: Families enrolled in the monthly payment plan receive childcare at a substantial discount. Monthly plans areflat rates, with holidays and non-school days prorated out of the tuition. The monthly tuition rate remains the same regardless ofminimum days or absences.HOURLY PLANS: This option is for families who need care less than seven hours a week.PLEASE NOTE: Hourly rates are rounded up at 15 minutes. For example, if your child has been in <strong>Crusader</strong> <strong>Club</strong> for 1 hour and15 minutes the charge will be for 2 hours. Also, if a child arrives any time before 8:00 AM there will be charge for 1 hour.
