Introduction to ISPT Innovation in process technology is one of the main ways the industry becomes more sustainable, which is the objective of the Institute for Sustainable Process Technology (ISPT). ISPT manages a network of more than 50 process-technology companies research institutes and universities. This provides the ISPT with an active world class cooperation network. ISPT considers this network a pre- requisite since innovation can only be achieved through cooperation between companies throughout the value chain. The ISPT partners collaborate in research projects for new process technology. In projects that are typically 2 or 4 years, researchers from research institutes and companies, for example, find new ways to get nutrition from algae or to recover phosphates from wastewater. A project often starts with a problem from one or more companies from which a research plan is created. 2
TKI Processing ISPT transforms in 2012 into the TKI Processing that will include all process steps from raw materials to products.
