1. Graduate level course:<br />
<strong>Regular</strong> <strong>Courses</strong> <strong>available</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>Ayurveda</strong><br />
5½ years (4½ year ma<strong>in</strong> course + 1 year Internship) Degree course lead<strong>in</strong>g to Bachelor<br />
<strong>of</strong> Ayurvedic Medic<strong>in</strong>e and Surgery (BAMS) <strong>Ayurveda</strong>charya is be<strong>in</strong>g conducted throughout<br />
the country under IMCC Act, 1970. The syllabus and curriculum is uniform throughout the<br />
country and is be<strong>in</strong>g conducted only <strong>in</strong> Ayurvedic Medical Colleges affiliated to universities<br />
and only after gett<strong>in</strong>g permission from Dept. <strong>of</strong> <strong>AYUSH</strong>, Union Govt. Of India to start the<br />
course / undertake the admissions.<br />
Central Council for Indian Medic<strong>in</strong>e (CCIM) is the statutory regulatory body constituted<br />
under IMCC Act 1970 regulat<strong>in</strong>g the <strong>Ayurveda</strong> education at degree level as well as at PG<br />
level as well as the practice <strong>of</strong> Ayurvedic medic<strong>in</strong>e <strong>in</strong> India.<br />

2. Post Graduate level courses:<br />
(A) PG Degree <strong>Courses</strong>: The PG degree course is <strong>of</strong> three years duration lead<strong>in</strong>g to<br />
specialty <strong>in</strong> the concerned subject with the degree <strong>of</strong> MD (<strong>Ayurveda</strong> Vachaspati) / MS<br />
(<strong>Ayurveda</strong> Dhanwantari) after successfully completion <strong>of</strong> the course. The syllabus and<br />
curriculum for each specialty is uniform throughout the country and is be<strong>in</strong>g conducted<br />
only <strong>in</strong> Ayurvedic Medical Colleges affiliated to universities and only after gett<strong>in</strong>g prior<br />
permission from Dept. <strong>of</strong> <strong>AYUSH</strong>, Union Govt. <strong>of</strong> India to start the course / undertake<br />
the admissions. Post graduate Degree courses (MD/MS) are be<strong>in</strong>g conducted <strong>in</strong><br />
