False FlagsOn February 03, 2015 petrol bomb was hurled into a bus carrying passengers fromCox’s Bazar to Dhaka on the Chittagong highway at Chauddagram of Comilla.It was the deadliest attack since the blockade begun on January 06. Seven killed on thespot, one day later the toll was raised to eight.The bus that came under attack was escorted by police. Police claimed that somemiscreants hurled the bomb all on a sudden and fled the scene before police could react.• In a raid conducted in the area after the attack took place, police arrested theruling Awami League-baked youth organisation’s Jagnnath union unitpresident Manik its activist Babul in Keskir crossing area at Jagannathdighi atabout 10:00pm with petrol bombs and later took them to Chauddagrampolice station. 108Surprisingly, the police who previously failed to provide necessary security tothe passengers and could not hold the arsonists amid a shoot at sight order setfree the Awami League men hours after the arrest. Though they were caught redhanded with petrol bombs, police refused to launch any investigation regardingthe matter. 109This incident made it clear that the attack on Comilla bus was nothing but a falseflag operation conducted by local Awami League men maintaining a liaison withlocal police.However, this is not the only incident of false flag during the blockade. Many otherarrests and suspicious attacks in front of police raise questions about who are behindthese attacks actually.Case-1Police recovered 10 abandoned petrol bombs from CDS Colony in Chittagong's Agrabadarea around 6:30am on February 08. Acting on a tip off, police recovered seven petrolbombs from behind a club while three others were recovered from a toilet of anabandoned building in the colony. 110The club house was traced with the help of Google Street View.
