7. Conduct of examinations7.1 The Civil Aviation Authority appoints examiners/invigilators who will be presentduring all examinations to ensure the integrity of the examination.7.2 All examination papers will be h<strong>and</strong>ed out to c<strong>and</strong>idates at the start of the examination<strong>and</strong> h<strong>and</strong>ed back to the invigilator at the end of the examination allotted time period.All papers, including rough work papers, are not allowed to be removed from theexamination room during or after the examination allotted time period. A computerbased examination will be another alternative.7.3 Apart from specific documentation needed <strong>for</strong> specific examinations, only theexamination paper may be available to the c<strong>and</strong>idate during the examination.7.4 Examination c<strong>and</strong>idates are separated from each other so that they cannot read eachother's examination papers <strong>and</strong> they may not speak to any person other than theexaminer/invigilator.7.5 C<strong>and</strong>idate who is proven to be cheating or breaching the examination rules will bebanned from taking any Civil Aviation Authority examination <strong>for</strong> at least 12 monthsafter the date of the incident.7.6 C<strong>and</strong>idates are required to present the examination booking confirmation to theexaminers/invigilators at least FIFTEEN MINUTES prior to the start of theexamination. They are also required to prove their identities by producing acceptableidentifications that include a photograph. Failure to prove the personal identificationmay result in c<strong>and</strong>idates not being allowed to sit <strong>for</strong> the examination <strong>and</strong> <strong>for</strong>feiture ofthe examination fee.7.7 Failure to attend the scheduled examination sitting or late arrival will result inc<strong>and</strong>idates not being allowed to sit <strong>and</strong> <strong>for</strong>feiture of the examination fee.7.8 All requests <strong>for</strong> changes to subject or sitting date must be received in writing byAACM at least five working days be<strong>for</strong>e the sitting date stated on the examinationbooking confirmation.7.9 Use of mobile phone, camera <strong>and</strong> any other electronic devices are restricted during theexamination except use of calculator in module 1 or module 2 examination with thepermission from examiners/invigilators.7.10 C<strong>and</strong>idates who choose to leave the examination room be<strong>for</strong>e examination finishedwho shall not be permitted to return to the room or resume the examination.7.11 C<strong>and</strong>idates who do not follow the instructions of the examiners/invigilators will beasked to leave the examination <strong>and</strong> the examination results <strong>and</strong> fees will be <strong>for</strong>feited.AP-9 P.5 31 Jan 2007
