Of course the maximum weight of the load tobe lifted will be proportionate to the grip surface.The OCTOPUS system shown on this page isconstructed with a vacuum generator fed bycompressed air, combined with a box sealed by asuction plate, which is covered by a special foamrubber, both made of a light alloy.Inside the suction plate, an easily inspectedstainless steel micro-net filter is installed, to protectthe vacuum generator.On the outside of the vacuum box one or morethreaded connections are present for connection tosolenoid valves which can be used for quick releasesystems.The design of this suction plate allows a perfect fiton any surface to be handled, smooth, rough orirregular.For example, with the same system it is possible totake and handle both the carton and the woodenpallet it is taken from.These OCTOPUS systems can be supplied, onrequest, with sizes, suction plates and vacuumgenerators, different from the standard modelslisted in this catalogue.N.B.Code SO -- --X, only identifies the base box of theOCTOPUS system with the relevant suction plate PX.The vacuum generator listed in the table is not anintegral part of the OCTOPUS system, consequentlyit has to be ordered separately using its own code.[The Octopus vacuum lifting system]9.02< >
