From the Big SIR:
Membership Update-We began the year with
170 active members…at the end of two months,
we haven’t lost ground but we haven’t gained
either.
Behind the numbers is a distinct positive…
we have brought in six new members…four
in January and two in February…on the
downside, we lost five and had one go inactive.
On February 17 th a few of our golfers played a Scramble.
“We had 5 players show up at Eagle Vines today. (Nigel,
Ray C., Reed, Bill Fox and myself) Bill was smart enough
to go back home. As predicted we had one shower,
unfortunately it lasted all day except on #15 when it turned to
hail. The wind was not too bad except the 5 holes it gusted
to 45mph. All over it was a pretty good day except on #11
where my club flew back over my head after my tee shot.
Ray and Reed were able to duck out of the way but it hit
Nigel in the head. Fortunately it was only the shaft and
he was not injured. He was not so fortunate on #16
when he went into ground under repair to retrieve his
ball and sunk into the mud up to his knees. Let's hope
for better weather next Thursday.”
