BEFORE YOU ARRIVEPICK-UP YOUR ONE CARDAt orientation, pick-up your UAB ONE Card - this is yourstudent ID and you will need it to check into your room,for entry into your residence hall, and to use your MealPlan & BlazerBucksCONTACT YOUR ROOMMATEAfter you know who your roommate is think about whatitems you will share and who will bring them (TV, DVDplayer, video game system)CHECK COMPUTER NETWORK COMPATIBILITYFor information about ResNet, UAB’s internet providervisit www.myresnet.com.PRE-ORDER YOUR PARKING PERMITYou will are able to pre-order your parking permit fromUAB Parking & Transportation online at www.uab.edu/parking. Also, be sure to write down the serialnumbers for all electronic devices you bring and store that list in a safe place.PAYING FOR HOUSINGYour semester housing fees will be placed on your student account along withtuition and other fees. Fall charges are posted to student accounts in late July,and the first payment deadline is on August 1, 2015.

THINGS TO KNOWONE STOP STUDENT SERVICESThe One Stop is conveniently located on the first floor of the Blazer Hall Residence LifeCenter. Members of the One Stop team will be available on Saturday & Sunday to assistwith meal plans, financial aid, parking, paying your bill or more. If you have any questionsprior to move-in feel free to contact them at onestop@uab.edu or 934-4300.DININGUAB has a vast selection of dining locations across campus (www.uab.edu/dining/locations).All students that live on campus are required to purchase a meal plan. Go to the UAB MealPlans website to find a plan that’s right for you and sign-up online: www.uab.edu/mealplansPARKINGIf you plan to bring a car to campus, you can purchase a parking permit from UAB Parking andTransportation at www.uab.edu/parking.
