What does “best-in-class” mean?“Best-in-class” refers to a diverse set of actively andpassively managed mutual funds that have performedconsistently well against their benchmarks and otherfunds within their peer group. (Please note that pastperformance does not guarantee future results.)10. What do the terms “re-directing” or “mapping” mean?The terms “re-directing” or “mapping” refer to a financialindustry standard method of transferring investmentallocations/instructions for future contributions fromone investment provider to another in a retirement planconversion. This process begins by analyzing theinvestments from which investors are being re-directedand determining the investment categories for thesefunds (this step is typically determined by an independentparty like Morningstar, Inc.). The next step is finding afund on the new Investment Menu that is in the sameor similar category as the closing fund on the previousmenu. The investment allocations/instructions forfuture contributions are then re-directed, or “mapped,”from the closing fund to the similar fund on thenew Investment Menu.11.
