Board members AdamHandler, Marc Mauceri, Rob SternKimille Taylor, Craig Cook, JohnTomlinson, Becky Koh, Marie De Rosa,Mike Green, and Ted Neu were present.The minutes of the Septembermeeting were approved by e-mail subsequentto this meeting.The date, time, and location of thenext meeting will be on a date to bedetermined at a location to be determined.A vote was held to determine thepenalty for rider Ricky Lowe for hisactions following the <strong>Club</strong> race onOctober 1. After substantial discussionit was voted that Ricky would besuspended for seven <strong>Club</strong> races actuallyheld, including those that arecancelled on the day of the race.Ricky’s infraction was clarified subsequentto the meeting as a violation ofUSCF rule 1O5.The Board voted to disqualify MattKoschara from the <strong>Club</strong> race onOctober 1st. Subsequent to the meetingthe infraction was clarified as aviolation of USCF rule 1O6.Craig Cook gave an update on thejunior development program. Craigheld an organizational meeting withinterested juniors and their parentsand has planned junior specific trainingsessions. A substantial cash donationfrom one individual will be usedto cover certain costs for juniors inthe 2006 season, including travel tomajor events.Adam Handler and Craig Cookadvised the Board that a cash donationwill be used to purchase juniorspecificjerseys for 2006. The jerseyswill be in the standard <strong>Club</strong> designwith a white, rather than yellow, background.Adam Handler gave an update onplans for the Foundation sub-team toact as the fundraising arm of the<strong>CRCA</strong>. Tony Pechenik of Foundationwill lead the efforts and he will reportto the <strong>CRCA</strong> President in a non-Boardposition.Ted Neu gave an update on plansto change the purchase and distributionsystem for <strong>Club</strong> clothing startingin 2006. Subsequent to the meetingthe Board voted to select ChampionRacing Systems, represented byCharlie Issendorf, to be the directsupplier of all <strong>Club</strong> clothing to members.Members will be able to purchasefrom Champion, which will beresponsible for manufacturing, inventory,and delivery of jerseys, shortsand other cycling clothing.Rob Stern reported on the need topurchase new vests for marshals inorder to fulfill the request of Parksand the Conservancy to have marshalswear vests that more clearlyidentify the wearer as a bike racemarshal. The Board authorized Rob topurchase 75 vests for a maximum of$700.Subsequent to the meeting MarcMauceri generously offered to havehis Blue Ribbon sub-team arrange thisyear’s <strong>CRCA</strong> holiday party. The partywill be held Tuesday, <strong>December</strong> 6 atLa Cocina restaurant on the UpperWest Side. ?Racing VenueSearch CommitteeBy Marc MauceriThe <strong>CRCA</strong> is looking for a few eagleeyedclub members to join a committeewhose goal will be to explore thelocal region in order to identify alternativerace course venues.
