Held at CPD for safekeepingpending return to owner.<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: Commercial burglarywas reported on Ocean Avenue.Pacific Grove: Officers were dispatched toa report of a male screaming in the street onCentral Avenue. When the male was contacted,he aggressed toward officers and was subsequentlydetained in handcuffs. <strong>The</strong>re were nowarrants for the male, and he was subsequentlyreleased without further incident. Info only.End of report.SUNDAY, MARCH 3<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: A citizen reported adog howling from inside an apartment onOcean Avenue in the very early morning hours.Officer responded and could see a dog throughthe window; however, no one was at home. Anote was left and information forwarded to theanimal control officer. Later contact was madewith the homeowner, and the dog was temporarilystaying at the residence.<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: Turtle brooch foundunattended in women’s restrooms at DevendorfPark. Information provided to police servicesofficer to match up with any outstandingreports. Property held at CPD for safekeeping.<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: Subject reported lossof a Razor scooter while visiting <strong>Carmel</strong> Beachon <strong>March</strong> 3. Item was left unattended at top ofrock stairwell at Eighth Avenue; item was gonewhen owner returned to location where scooterhad been left.<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: Report of a past-tensetheft of personal property from Dolores Street.<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: Report of a vehicleblocking the roadway on Guadalupe Street.Officer arrived and located the vehicle andoccupant, who was found to have recently beenin a vehicle accident that had already beenreported. Subject requested to be taken toCHOMP by his wife for further evaluation dueto the accident and for possible depression. <strong>The</strong>subject’s wife was contacted, and respondedand transported him to CHOMP. <strong>The</strong> vehiclewas secured at the location.Pacific Grove: Dispatched to a verbal argumentbetween father and son on Lawton.Resident advised son attempted to pull wiresfrom the computer, and he grabbed his son’sarm to stop him. Neither party is seeking prosecution.Officer recommended professionalassistance to ensure they would get along in thefuture. Resident advised of eviction process ifhe decides to have his son vacate the residence.MONDAY, MARCH 4<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: Attempted burglary ofa business on Dolores Street. Front glass doorsmashed.<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: Person reported that itappeared someone attempted to pry off a deadboltto a storage locker in an underground parkinggarage between Feb. 28 and today’s date.Person requested to file the report for informationonly and requested close patrol.<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: Loose dog capturedand brought to CPD for safekeeping, pendingreturn to owner. Dog returned to owner at 1443hours.<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: Subject reported theloss of a necklace in the commercial district.She last remembered wearing the necklacewhile patronizing shops in the <strong>Carmel</strong> Plazacomplex.Pacific Grove: A subject was contacted onDavid Avenue for parole violation and found tohave several items in his vehicle. <strong>The</strong> 28-yearoldmale suspect was arrested, booked at PGPDand transported to Monterey County Jail. Itemsfound were booked into evidence.Pacific Grove: Man reported he had notheard from his brother-in-law, who is travelingby bicycle from California to Florida. Subjectwas located in Big Sur.Pacific Grove: Subject contacted at herLighthouse Avenue residence and found tohave consumed numerous prescription pillsand alcohol.
