helen simoneau<br />
Helen SIMoneAu (Choreographer) is a native of Québec, Canada. Her company, Helen Simoneau<br />
Danse, is based in both NYC and NC. In 2010, she won The A.W.A.R.D. Show! NYC for her solo the gentleness<br />
was in her hands. This work was also awarded 1st Place for Choreography at the 13th Internationales Solo-<br />
Tanz-Theatre <strong>Festival</strong> in Stuttgart, Germany in 2009. Simoneau returned to Germany in 2010 as one of<br />
three finalists for the Kurt Jooss Prize at PACT-Zollverein in Essen for her quintet Flight Distance. She has<br />
choreographed for the Swiss International Coaching Project (SiWiC) in Zurich, for the Bessie Schönberg<br />
Residency at The Yard (MA), and has been an artist-in-residence at Bates <strong>Dance</strong> <strong>Festival</strong> in Maine. Her<br />
choreography has also been presented in Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Greece, Italy, Spain, Switzerland,<br />
and has toured throughout Germany and the US.<br />
Helen Simoneau is a 2010-11 North Carolina Arts Council Choreographic Fellow. She has created new works<br />
for the University of the North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA), the Eisenhower <strong>Dance</strong> Ensemble (MI)<br />
and has restaged her work for The University of Oklahoma, Wake Forest University (NC), University of the<br />
Arts (PA), and Hollins University (VA). Simoneau has taught at the ADF (2010), UNCSA, UNC-Greensboro,<br />
Hollins University, The University of Oklahoma, and the Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute at Quartz<br />
Mountain. She earned a BFA from UNCSA and a MFA from Hollins University. www.helensimoneau.com.<br />
AnDReW HASenpFlug (Musician) Composer/Multi-instrumentalist Andy is very glad to be in his first<br />
year as the Director of the ADF Musicians. He has accumulated an extensive list of credits in theater,<br />
dance, jazz, rock, classical, patriotic, and commercial venues. These include the US Air Force Band, Denver<br />
Contemporary <strong>Dance</strong> Co., Rosanna Gamson/Worldwide, Equity Library Theater, Chicago Shakespeare<br />
Theater, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, and jingles for Kroger food stores and Hoolihan’s restaurants.<br />
He has worked as a dance accompanist at the ADF, the Doug Varone summer intensive, the <strong>American</strong><br />
Colleges of <strong>Dance</strong> <strong>Festival</strong>, Slippery Rock University, Columbia College Chicago, Dayton Contemporary<br />
<strong>Dance</strong> Company, the University of Cincinnati, Helander and Co., Kim Robards <strong>Dance</strong>, the University<br />
of Colorado, SUNY Purchase, Marymount College, and the Lou Conte Studios. He has composed for<br />
such artists as the Seldoms, <strong>Dance</strong> Alloy, LabCo, Ursula Payne, Tom Truss, Jennifer Keller, Zephyr <strong>Dance</strong><br />
Company, The Overture Academy Cincinnati, Chasala <strong>Dance</strong> Company, Helander and Co., and the<br />
University of Cincinnati. His teaching credits include The University of Cincinnati, Columbia College<br />
Chicago, and Slippery Rock University. He has recorded with the United States Air Force Band, Rick Lisak<br />
Band, Sylvain Acher and Fabien, Divide by Pi, and Hasenproject, as well as creating an ongoing group of<br />
solo recordings. Mr. Hasenpflug currently resides in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania where he freelances and<br />
works as the music director for the dance department of Slippery Rock University. He also holds the title<br />
of visiting professor at Henan Normal University in Henan, China.<br />
JoHn C.B. WIlSon (Musician) For nearly 25 years John has been exploring his love for music in bars,<br />
clubs, concert halls, dance studios, and recording spaces. He received a BM from UNCSA and an MM<br />
from the Manhattan School of Music. As a percussionist John has performed with various bands, such as<br />
the Glenn Miller Orchestra and the As-Is Ensemble. He also regularly plays with local groups including<br />
Four for One, Ken Rhodes Trio, Muddy River Band, The Matt Kendrick Unit, Lean In, and The Carolina<br />
Chamber Symphony. In addition, John has taught music at many institutions including Davidson College,<br />
Pfeiffer University, Hartwick College Summer Music <strong>Festival</strong>, and the John Coltrane Jazz Workshop.<br />
Throughout the last decade John has been operating Spot Studio, a unique recording space constructed<br />
mostly with salvaged materials. At Spot John and his engineering partner, Chris Peck, have worked with<br />
artists such as The Martha Bassett Band, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Luminescent Orchestrii, The StoryLine<br />
Project, and Will and Deni Films featuring David Holt. Since 1998 John has found a creative home as an<br />
accompanist in the UNCSA <strong>Dance</strong> Department, where he is inspired on a daily basis through his work<br />
with students and faculty. John lives in downtown Winston-Salem with the love of his life, Dr. T. Sharee<br />
Fowler, their dog Henry, and two cats Scout and Aslan.<br />
StellA AlMBlADe is from Scottsdale, AZ. She graduated summa cum laude with a BFA in dance and<br />
a BA in Spanish Linguistics from the University of Arizona. Now dancing with Ad Deum <strong>Dance</strong> Company<br />
in Houston, TX, her desire is to learn how to be a servant-artist to local and international communities.<br />
She is blessed to have her passion for travel and dance intertwined; her performance credits include<br />
Italy, Spain, Germany, Ireland, China, Costa Rica, Mexico, and England. Stella has thoroughly enjoyed her<br />
1st ADF experience, and wishes to thank God for such a selfless, loving, and giving faculty! Thank you!
Zoe Bennett graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee in 2009 with a BA in<br />
Anthropology and a minor in <strong>Dance</strong> Performance. Since, she has danced with Circle Modern <strong>Dance</strong>,<br />
Momentum <strong>Dance</strong> Lab, and the Tennessee Youth Ballet. Zoe will be completing her MFA next spring at<br />
the University of Iowa, where she is a graduate teaching assistant and an Iowa Arts Fellow. This is her third<br />
summer at the ADF, and she is eternally grateful to both her instructors and all of the ADF community for<br />
their support and wisdom.<br />
JACquelIne CAlle As a native of Queens, New York, Calle began her formal dance training at the<br />
School of Carolina Ballet Theatre (SCBT) in Greenville, South Carolina at the age of thirteen. Currently<br />
she attends The Fine Arts Center Arts Magnet Highschool (FAC) and SCBT as an advanced Senior level<br />
student in Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Contemporary Ballet and Classical partnering. This is Jacqueline’s first<br />
year at the ADF and she feels very blessed for the opportunities she has been given.<br />
AleSSAnDRA M. Delle gRottI, 21, began dancing shortly after her ninth birthday at the Stewart-<br />
Johnson <strong>Dance</strong> Academy in Hamilton, New Jersey. Instantly, this art form had overtaken her life allowing<br />
for endless opportunities to explore multiple dance forms. This passion resulted in numerous awards,<br />
instruction from various professionals and countless hours of preparation and travel. As a result, Alessandra<br />
has achieved abundant praise as a modern dance major during her first three year at the University of the<br />
Arts (UARTS) in Philadelphia. A UARTS scholarship recipient, Alessandra has appeared in many studentcomposed<br />
concerts, guest and faculty performances including works by Helen Simoneau, Jesse Zaritt,<br />
Katie Swords-Thurman, Adrienne Westwood, Sidra Bell and more. Alessandra will be returning for her<br />
senior year with expected graduation in May, 2013.<br />
AnA FIoRe is a 2012 graduate of Connecticut College. She began her dance training in Sarasota, FL<br />
and attended Booker High School for the Visual and Performing Arts. She has received scholarships to<br />
attend the ADF, the Bates <strong>Dance</strong> <strong>Festival</strong>, and the ImPulsTanz International <strong>Dance</strong> <strong>Festival</strong>. She performed<br />
in Helen Tamiris’ How Long Brethren as recreated by Dianne McIntyre at the ADF in 2007. At CC, Ana<br />
danced in the works of guest artists Jeremy Nelson, Monica Bill-Barnes, Kyle Abraham, Gabri Christa,<br />
Martha Myers, Jennifer Nugent, and Laura Dean’s Skylight as set by Rodger Belman.<br />
gABRIelle gIoRDAno is a native of Brooklyn, New York and graduated from LaGuardia High School<br />
of Music and Art & Performing Art in 2009. She also studied at The Alvin Ailey School, The Paul Taylor<br />
School, and The Martha Graham School. She is current rising senior at University of the Arts as a Modern<br />
major and Psychology minor. While there, she has performed works by Jesse Zaritt, Curt Haworth, Helen<br />
Simoneau, Dianna Crumm and Willam Forsythe. Gabrielle recently presented a new work with RAWartist<br />
in Philadelphia, PA.<br />
JASMIne HeARn is a Point Park University alum with her BA in <strong>Dance</strong> from Houston, TX. She currently<br />
lives in Pittsburgh, PA, where she has had the pleasure of working with <strong>Dance</strong> Alloy Theater, the Pillow<br />
Project, Gia T. Cacalano, recently the Staycee Pearl <strong>Dance</strong> Project, and anonymous bodies. This is her<br />
second year at the ADF and she loves it.<br />
peI-Yu Hung is a student from National Taiwan University Of Art. She is interested in choreography,<br />
and has been doing pieces for student performances since Junior High. In 2011, she participated in the<br />
annual performance of NTUA named Moving Static Carefree. She also has performed in works called Joy<br />
and Recall by two choreographers, Kuei-Chuan Yang and Wen-jinn Luo.<br />
KACeY KAtZenMeYeR began her dance training in ballet and modern at Legacy Studios for the<br />
Performing Arts when she was 14 years old. Kacey then attended the University of North Carolina School<br />
of the arts for her senior year of high school. After graduating this May, Kacey plans to continue her<br />
dance education at the Ailey/Fordham BFA program in the fall. This is Kacey’s first summer as a dancer at<br />
the ADF but she has attended the festival’s performances since her childhood.<br />
AMAnDA KMett-penDRY, originally from Owings, MD, is currently studying at the University of<br />
the Arts, under the direction of Donna Faye Burchfield. She has performed works by William Forsythe,<br />
Pearl Primus, and Jesse Zaritt. Most recently she was involved in a production of Carmina Burana,<br />
choreographed by Katie Swords and Adrienne Westwood. Amanda will graduate from UArts in<br />
December 2012 with a BFA.
MARgARet KnICKeRBoCKeR was born and raised in a small town outside of Syracuse, NY. Margaret<br />
is a rising senior studying contemporary dance at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.<br />
She has performed other works by Zane Booker, Mark Dendy, and Maurya Kerr. She is thankful for the<br />
opportunity to study and perform at ADF this summer.<br />
tIng-Yun Kuo is an eighteen year old from Taiwan. Ting-Yun studies at the Tapei National University<br />
of the Arts.<br />
eMIlY ReYnolDS received her BFA in <strong>Dance</strong> and Choreography from Virginia Commonwealth<br />
University in May 2012. While at VCU, she performed in pieces choreographed by VCU faculty members<br />
Christian Von Howard and Autumn Proctor. Emily trained in physical theater and movement in Belgrade,<br />
Serbia with members of the DAH Theater in 2010. She also performed Urban Bush Women’s Shelter<br />
when it was restaged at VCU in 2011 and worked closely with UBW artistic director Jawole Willa Jo Zollar.<br />
Emily’s senior project entitled Among the Living represented VCU at the Mid-Atlantic <strong>American</strong> College<br />
<strong>Dance</strong> <strong>Festival</strong> gala in the spring of 2012.<br />
CHelSeY RoWAn grew up in Apex, North Carolina and began her training in Vagonova, Cunningham,<br />
and Horton techniques at Triangle Academy of <strong>Dance</strong> when she was eight. In the summer of 2010 she<br />
attended Complexions three week workshop in New York City. Later that summer she attended the<br />
International Ballet Competition Workshop and was awarded a full merit based scholarship to the Kirov<br />
Academy’s summer program in Washington DC. Chelsey is currently a rising sophomore at the University<br />
of North Carolina School of the Arts in the high school contemporary program.<br />
KYoKo RuCH was born in Tokyo, Japan and raised in Vienna, Virginia. She trained at the Classical<br />
Ballet Academy of Northern Virginia under the direction of Cynthia Donavin. After graduating from<br />
James Madison High School, Kyoko went on to study dance at Virginia Commonwealth University<br />
while also dancing at Richmond Ballet as a trainee. After two years, Kyoko was promoted to a company<br />
apprentice position at the Richmond Ballet where she stayed for two more years. In December 2010,<br />
Kyoko graduated from VCU with a BFA in <strong>Dance</strong> Performance. She has performed in works with the<br />
VonHoward Project in New York and Richmond, VA.<br />
CAnDACe SCARBoRougH was born and raised in the Baltimore area. She recently graduated<br />
from the University of Maryland, College Park with a BA in <strong>Dance</strong>. At UMD she had the opportunity<br />
to perform in works by Tere O’Connor, Keith Thompson, Erika Thimey, Sara Pearson and Patrik Widrig/<br />
PearsonWidrig <strong>Dance</strong>Theater, Alvin Mayes, Liz Lerman <strong>Dance</strong> Exchange, Tzveta Kassabova, Florian<br />
Rouiller and Graham Brown. Candace has also worked as a production/development intern at <strong>Dance</strong><br />
Place in Washington, DC. She will be performing in the DC area in the Fall with Andary <strong>Dance</strong> and in<br />
Graham Brown’s thesis concert in the Spring.<br />
MoRgAn WAllACe is originally from Ellicott City, Maryland. She trained at the Morton Street <strong>Dance</strong><br />
Center in Baltimore, Maryland under the direction of Donna L. Jacobs, the Howard County Ballet, and<br />
Towson University Children’s <strong>Dance</strong> Division. In 2002, she became the youngest member of Full Circle<br />
<strong>Dance</strong> Company. She currently attends the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and will graduate in<br />
December 2012 with a BFA in <strong>Dance</strong> and a BS in Mathematical Biology. While at Michigan, she performed<br />
in works by Lucinda Childs, Monica Bill Barnes, Amy Chavasse, Peter Sparling, and Melissa Beck.<br />
nApoRn WAttAnAKASAeM was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand. She began ballet training<br />
under the Royal Academy of <strong>Dance</strong> at Aree School of <strong>Dance</strong> Arts. She danced and worked with many<br />
Thai choreographers. In 2009, deciding to pursue a dance degree in the United States, Naporn attended<br />
El Camino College and California State University, Long Beach. She was also a member of Funderburk<br />
<strong>Dance</strong> Artists in Los Angeles and danced for Janet Lilly and Larry Lavender. She attended the Martha<br />
Graham Winter Intensive 2011. In December 2012, Naporn will graduate with a BA in <strong>Dance</strong> at the<br />
University of North Carolina, Greensboro.<br />
eMIlY WolFe is originally from Winston-Salem, NC and studied ballet and modern at University of<br />
North Carolina School of the Arts where she graduated high school with a concentration in modern. She<br />
is now currently working on her BFA in dance at Florida State University. She feels incredibly fortunate<br />
to have the opportunity to study here at ADF this summer and is thankful for the mentorship of all her<br />
teachers.
JoDi melniCK<br />
JoDI MelnICK (Choreographer) NYC based choreographer, dancer, and teacher graduated from<br />
SUNY Purchase with a BFA in <strong>Dance</strong>. Melnick is a 2012 Guggenheim Fellow, the recipient of the Jerome<br />
Robbins New Essential Works Grant (2010-11), The Foundation for Contemporary Arts Grant (2011),<br />
and has been honored with two “Bessie” Awards for sustained achievement in dance (2001 and 08).<br />
Melnick’s most recent work, Solo, Deluxe Version, and her solo made in collaboration with Trisha Brown,<br />
One of Sixty Five Thousand Gestures, premiered in NYC at New York Live Arts (NYLA) in March 2012.<br />
Other works have been presented internationally and nationally at The Dublin <strong>Dance</strong> <strong>Festival</strong>, <strong>Dance</strong> Box<br />
(Kansai, Japan), Rex Levitates (Dublin, Ireland), Maiden Voyage Productions (Belfast, Ireland), throughout<br />
Estonia, Russia, Japan, Jacob’s Pillow <strong>Dance</strong> <strong>Festival</strong>, The Kitchen (NYC), La Mama (NYC), OtherShore<br />
<strong>Dance</strong> Company (NYC), The Trevor Day School (NYC), George Washington University, Bates College,<br />
and Monmouth College, (Oregon).<br />
Melnick was a member of Twyla Tharp <strong>Dance</strong> Company from 1991 to 1994 and worked with her again in<br />
2009. She continues to perform with choreographers: Sara Rudner, Susan Rethorst, Jonathon Kinzel, Vicky<br />
Shick, and Liz Roche. Since 2007 Melnick has been working with John Jasperse, creating/performing/and<br />
restaging current versions of ‘Becky, Jodi, and John’. In 2005, she revisited working with Donna Uchizono,<br />
creating and performing in a trio with Mikhail Baryshnikov.<br />
Melnick teaches throughout the US, Europe, Australia, and Asia. Currently, she is teaching at Barnard College at<br />
Columbia University in NYC, New York University in the Experimental Theater Wing, and The Trevor Day School.<br />
Jodi would like to thank Jodee Nimerichter, the entire staff at ADF and Rodger Belman.<br />
MICHAel WAll (Composer, Musician) began collaborating with dance and other art forms at an<br />
early age and continues to work with artists, internationally. He has made work for the José Limón<br />
Company, Mark Haim, Lisa Race, John Evans, Lucky Kele, David Dorfman, David Grenke, Rudy Perez,<br />
Pam Pietro, Pat Mayer, K.J. Holmes, Paulette Sears, Julia Ritter, Randy James, Martha Tornay/East<br />
Village <strong>Dance</strong> Project, Jenn Nugent, Wally Wolfgruber, Heather Mcardle, Everything Smaller, Incidents<br />
Physical Theater, Merge <strong>Dance</strong> and many others. Michael and designer Jamie Karczewski have formed<br />
the company Asimplesound, LLC that produces music and resources for dance, film and other media.<br />
Michael works full-time in the department of dance at Ohio State University and accompanies<br />
at the Bates <strong>Dance</strong> <strong>Festival</strong> as well as the ADF. His music and new recordings can be found at<br />

MARlYS AnWAH is a resident of Centreville, VA. She started studying dance at the age of 11 at the<br />
Russell School of Ballet in Chantilly, VA. There she performed in many shows, including The Nutcracker,<br />
Snow White, and in their annual spring jazz concerts. When she graduated high school she continued her<br />
dancing as a BFA dance major at Shenandoah University, where she is now an upcoming senior. Marlys<br />
has performed in many dance concerts for student choreographers, faculty, and guest artists.<br />
KRIStInA BeRMuDeZ Originally from Hopewell Junction New York, Kristina spent her high school<br />
years at the Walnut School of the Arts in Natick, MA. Currently, she is a full time student at the Boston<br />
Conservatory. Kristina performed alongside the Zoe/Juniper company in The Devil You Know is Better<br />
than the Devil You Don’t at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston. She has also performed original<br />
works by choreographers Lorraine Chapman and Diane Arvanites. At ADF, in addition to Jodi Melnick’s<br />
new work, she is also taking part in the Forsythe Project. She would like to thank her family, especially her<br />
mother for being such a supportive and inspiring person.<br />
DeAn BIoSCA was born on Long Island, New York where he started dancing at the age of 7. In 2008,<br />
Dean moved to North Carolina where he was accepted into the high school contemporary dance<br />
program at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. For the next three years, he performed<br />
the repertory of famous choreographers such as Merce Cunningham, Mark Morris, Alwin Nikolais and<br />
Twyla Tharp. He also worked with Doug Elkins and Maurya Kerr during his time at the school. Dean<br />
graduated from high school at UNCSA in May and will be attending The Juilliard School in the fall 2012.<br />
Ann SoFIe CleMMenSen was born and raised in Denmark. She completed her BFA at the Norwegian<br />
College of <strong>Dance</strong>, and received a first-class honor post-graduate degree from the Northern School of<br />
Contemporary <strong>Dance</strong> (UK). In addition to working collaboratively with artists in Scandinavia, she worked<br />
professionally as a dancer and teacher nationally and internationally. She will be entering her 3rd year as
a MFA student at The Ohio State University, Department of <strong>Dance</strong>. Miss Clemmensen is very grateful to<br />
be part of the International Choreographer Residency program this summer.<br />
nAtAlIe DAnSIe is a fourth year dance major at the University of Utah, first time ADF student and<br />
very grateful to be a part of Jodi Melnick’s work. She started ballet as a child and found modern dance at<br />
the Las Vegas Academy of Performing Arts. She has performed with the University of Utah’s Performing<br />
<strong>Dance</strong> Company and she co-directed two Student Choreography shows. She also choreographed for<br />
the play Thaed, and for Salt Lake <strong>Dance</strong> Center’s ballet and modern dance 2011 season. In addition to<br />
choreographing she taught technique classes for SLDC and implemented their modern dance curriculum.<br />
BeAu DoBSon Returning to the ADF, Beau Dobson is thrilled to be performing on the Reynolds Stage<br />
again. Beau attended the Governor’s School in Norfolk, VA where he trained in the Hawkins Technique<br />
from the former Director of the Erick Hawkins <strong>Dance</strong> Company, Todd Rosenlieb. He currently attends<br />
Virginia Commonwealth University for his BFA and has been a member of the Ground Zero <strong>Dance</strong><br />
Company since 2010. He would like to add that he is available for hire after November. He loves his<br />
friends, family, and co-artists at the ADF.<br />
KRISten DooleY is from Davis, California. She began dancing ballet with Hanneke Loshe at the Davis<br />
Art Center where she trained through high school. She is currently majoring in Environmental Studies<br />
at Carleton where she has had the opportunity to work with dance professors Jane Shockley, Judith<br />
Howard, and Jennifer Bader, as well as participate in the Semaphore Repertory <strong>Dance</strong> Company. She has<br />
performed works by Minneapolis choreographers Carl Flink, Uri and Toni Sands, Aparna Ramaswamy,<br />
and Mathew Janczewski. This is Kristen’s first time at the ADF and she is thrilled to be a part of <strong>Footprints</strong>.<br />
lISA FAgAn is a dancer and choreographer based out of San Francisco. A Philadelphia native, she<br />
graduated from Bard College in 2011 where she studied dance and performed works by Maria Simpson,<br />
Peggy Florin, and Bill T. Jones. Lisa’s most recent work was presented at ODC/San Francisco as part of the<br />
60th Pilot program, showcasing emerging Bay Area artists. This is her second summer at ADF.<br />
HAnAAH FReCHette Originally from Syracuse, NY, Hanaah found her love of dance at an early age.<br />
She is a recent graduate of Florida State University where she received a BFA in <strong>Dance</strong> and Spanish. She<br />
studied under Dan Wagoner, Gerri Houlihan and Jawole Zollar. From 2009-2011 she was a member<br />
of <strong>Dance</strong> Repertory Theatre, a repertory based performance under the direction of Lynda Davis, and<br />
performed in works by Steven Koester and Alan Danielson, among others. Hanaah currently works as a<br />
performer and choreographer in NYC in addition to serving as Company Manager of Flamenco Vivo<br />
Carlota Santana.<br />
AJ guevARA began his formal dance training at Metropolitan Fine Arts Center. He continued his studies<br />
at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he received his BFA in <strong>Dance</strong> and Choreography. While at<br />
VCU, AJ had the pleasure of performing in works by Rick McCullough, Scott Putman, Melanie Richards,<br />
and Christian von Howard. He also had the opportunity to work closely with James Frazier and Jowole<br />
Willa Jo Zollar for the restaging of Shelter. He was also accepted into the Accademia dell Arte in Arezzo,<br />
Italy where he studied the Architectonics of <strong>Dance</strong>. Other performance credits include the <strong>American</strong><br />
College <strong>Dance</strong> <strong>Festival</strong> regional and national galas, Ground-Zero <strong>Dance</strong>, Von Howard Project, Sun King<br />
<strong>Dance</strong>, and Amaranth Contemporary <strong>Dance</strong>.<br />
guAngleI HuI, a dancer and an International Choreographer in Residency at ADF this summer.<br />
Currently, he is working with the White Wave <strong>Dance</strong> Company in New York. He began dancing as a<br />
soloist at National Ballet Academy in Russia during 2001-03. He won the Second Prize at the Classical<br />
Ballet Competition in Kirgizstan in 2003. After he returned to China, he joined the Guangdong Modern<br />
<strong>Dance</strong> Company in 2005. Since then, he has worked with many choreographers such as Ying Hou,<br />
Margaret Jenkings, Qi Liu, Siu-fai Pan, Jijia Sang, Willy Tsao and Cheng-Chieh Yu. He has also performed<br />
and choreographed internationally.<br />
Rex KenneDY is a native of Denver, CO and a recent graduate from Denver School of the Arts under the<br />
direction of Michael O’Banion and Alicia Karczewski. Rex will be a freshman at Virginia Commonwealth<br />
University in the fall, pursuing his BFA in <strong>Dance</strong>. He has performed in works by Hannah Kahn, Mark Haim,<br />
Chris Harris, Larry Keigwin, Scott Putman, Bob Fosse and in multiple works by Cleo Parker Robinson as an<br />
apprentice to her company. This is Rex’s second summer on scholarship at the ADF.
CHRIStInA CARlottI KolB is originally from Richmond, Virginia where she attended the Appomattox<br />
Regional Governor’s School for the Arts, under Rebecca Hodal. She is pursuing a BFA in <strong>Dance</strong> and<br />
Choreography from Virginia Commonwealth University. She has performed works by Christian von<br />
Howard, Nathan Trice, Theresa Ruth Howard, Dana Hash, Rodger Belman, Shen Wei and Mark Morris. As<br />
a scholarship student she has attended the ADF, nathantrice/RITUALS, and Earl Mosley’s Institute for the<br />
Arts. She has showcased her choreography at the DTW through their College Partnership Program and<br />
on the ARGS dancers. Christina is eternally thankful to her family and mentors for their continuous love<br />
and support throughout her journey.<br />
BRIeZe levY was born in New York and raised in the Florida Keys. She started dancing at On Your Toes<br />
<strong>Dance</strong> Studio when she was three and recently graduated from Bard College with a double major in<br />
religion and dance. She has worked with student choreographers including Isabel Cottingham, Harriett<br />
Meyer, and Rebecca Pelham. She danced in a Bard restaging of Continuous Replay by Bill T. Jones/Arnie<br />
Zane <strong>Dance</strong> Company and has worked with faculty members Leah Cox, Paul Matteson, and Stuart Singer.<br />
Brieze will be moving to New Orleans this Fall and is excited to continue dancing and choreographing.<br />
luCíA llopIS was born in Rosario, a big city located in the Province of Santa Fe, Argentina. She started<br />
her career in dance at the age of five. She studied various techniques and styles with the best known<br />
professors in Argentina and around the world. She took part in several dance groups and seven years ago<br />
she moved to Buenos Aires, where Lucía graduated from the “Nueva Escuela de Danza Contemporánea<br />
ARTE XXI”, directed by choreographer Oscar Aráiz, and became a member of his performing group.<br />
In 2OO9, she joined “Grupo de Danza de la Universidad Nacional de San Martin”. She is finishing her<br />
degree in Composition, at the “Instituto Universitario Nacional del Arte” (IUNA), where she belongs to<br />
the dance company directed by Roxana Grinstein.<br />
neIle MARtIn began dancing at Ballet Memphis. She then attended Interlochen Arts Academy where<br />
she gradated with honors in 2006. She took a hiatus from dance to study fashion design in London at the<br />
Instituto Marangoni. Returning to Memphis she attended The University of Memphis where she worked<br />
with DCDC and David Dorfman <strong>Dance</strong> and was VP of <strong>Dance</strong> Alliance. She recently completed her studies<br />
thanks to the amazing faculty. She attended ADF last summer and had the honor of working with Martha<br />
Clarke. Thanks Jodi for the opportunity to return to the Reynolds Stage with such a great cast.<br />
AnnA MAYnARD, Appalachian State University graduate with a major in technical photography and a<br />
minor in dance, has always danced. She has numerous and diverse interests, including yoga, fire spinning,<br />
music, and photography, but dance is her constant love. The pleasure of movement, the joy of the dance<br />
community and the satisfaction of choreographing keep her fully engaged. This is Anna’s eighth summer<br />
at the ADF and she plans to return whenever possible. She hopes to forge a career combining dance and<br />
photography by continuing to dance and work as an in house photographer for a company.<br />
AntHonY SHultS was born in 1993 in Chita, Zabaikalskiy region of Russia. For 12 years he was a<br />
dancer in dance-theater <strong>Dance</strong>-Mission. Since 2010 he has been a student of Palucca Schule Dresden,<br />
Hoch Schule fur Tanz-Germany, Dresden. In 2010 was invited to take part in the summer intensive of<br />
Doug Varone and <strong>Dance</strong>rs. His repertoire includes choreographies by Matthias Markstein, Diana Shults,<br />
Leonid Glukhov. It’s a great opportunity and big honor to be the part of <strong>American</strong> <strong>Dance</strong> <strong>Festival</strong> as an<br />
ICR student. ADF gives a lot of experience to help develop as a dancer, teacher and choreographer.<br />
RYAn vInCent tAYloR graduated in 2012 from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.<br />
He had the chance to train in such techniques as Cunningham, Graham, Limon, and Nikolais. He also<br />
trained with Brenda Daniels, Warren Conover, Trish Casey, Sean Sullivan, Susan Mcullough and Douglas<br />
Gawriljuk. While at school he had the opportunity to be in works by Larry Kegwin, Diego Schoch, Brenda<br />
Daniels, Mark Morris, Jose Limon, Jerome Robbins, and Doug Elkins. Ryan has preformed at the Alvin<br />
Ailey City Center and has appeared on the front of the New York Times.<br />
SHelleY WHIte, from New Jersey, is a junior BFA dance major at Mason Gross School of the Arts-<br />
Rutgers University. Since being at Mason Gross, she has worked with choreographers John Evans, Keith<br />
Thompson, Julia Ritter and musician, Robert Benford. Shelley is a newly certified yoga instructor through<br />
yoga alliance. This is Shelley’s first summer at the <strong>American</strong> <strong>Dance</strong> <strong>Festival</strong>.
peIYIng ZHou (vICKY) is a Chinese dancer, with a background in Chinese folk dance. She has studied<br />
in the United States for almost two years. The first year, she was in the modern dance department of<br />
University of Utah; the second year, she transferred to the dance department in University of Nevada,<br />
Las Vegas. For two months, she trained in a circus solar studio. She holds a Masters and Bachelors degree<br />
in Computer Science.<br />
reggie Wilson<br />
ReggIe WIlSon (Artistic Director, choreographer and performer) founded his company, Reggie<br />
Wilson/Fist & Heel Performance Group, in 1989. Wilson draws from the movement languages of the<br />
blues, slave and spiritual cultures of Africans in the Americas and combines them with post-modern<br />
elements and his own personal movement style to create what he calls “post-African/Neo-HooDoo<br />
Modern dances.”<br />
His work has been presented nationally and internationally at venues such as <strong>Dance</strong> Theater Workshop<br />
(recently New York Live Arts), Jacob’s Pillow <strong>Dance</strong> <strong>Festival</strong>, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (San Francisco),<br />
UCLA Live (Los Angeles), The Flynn (Burlington, VT), Contemporary Arts Center (New Orleans), <strong>Dance</strong><br />
Umbrella (Austin, TX), Summerstage (NYC), Linkfest and <strong>Festival</strong> e’Nkundleni (Zimbabwe), <strong>Dance</strong> Factory<br />
(South Africa), Danças na Cidade (Portugal), and <strong>Festival</strong> Kaay Fecc (Senegal), The Politics of Ecstasy (Berlin,<br />
Germany).<br />
Wilson has traveled extensively: to the Mississippi Delta to research secular and religious aspects of<br />
life there; to Trinidad and Tobago to research the Spiritual Baptists and the Shangoists; and also to the<br />
Southern, Central, West and East of Africa to work with dance and performance groups as well as various<br />
religious communities.<br />
Wilson is a graduate of New York University, Tisch School of the Arts (1988, Larry Rhodes, Chair) He has<br />
studied composition and been mentored by Phyllis Lamhut; Performed and toured with Ohad Naharin<br />
before forming his own Fist and Heel Performance Group. He has lectured, taught and conducted<br />
extended workshops and community projects throughout the US, Africa, Europe and the Caribbean. He<br />
has served as visiting faculty at several universities including Yale, Princeton and Wesleyan Universities.<br />
He is the recipient of the Minnesota <strong>Dance</strong> Alliance’s McKnight National Fellowship (2000-01). Wilson<br />
is also a 2002 New York <strong>Dance</strong> and Performance Award “Bessie” recipient for his work The Tie-tongued<br />
Goat and the Lightning Bug Who Tried to Put Her Foot Down and a 2002 John Simon Guggenheim Fellow.<br />
He has been an artist advisor for the National <strong>Dance</strong> Project and Board Member of <strong>Dance</strong> Theater<br />
Workshop. In recognition of his creative contributions to the field, Wilson was named a 2009 United<br />
States Artists Prudential Fellow and is also the 2009 recipient of the Herb Alpert Award in <strong>Dance</strong>. His<br />
recent evening-length work, The Good <strong>Dance</strong> – dakar/brooklyn had its World premiere at the Walker Art<br />
Center and NY premiere on the Brooklyn Academy of Music 2009 Next Wave <strong>Festival</strong>. Most recently, he<br />
received the 2012 Joyce Foundation Award for his new (project) Moseses Project (premiering 2013) as<br />
well as being an inaugural Doris Duke Artist.<br />
tIMotHY AMIRAult is from Grand Prairie, Texas, and studies ballet and modern at Booker T.<br />
Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (BTWHSPVA) in Dallas, Texas. He was a<br />
member of BTWHSPVA’s Repertory II Ensemble from 2011-12, and is going to be a part of BTWHSPV’s<br />
Repertory I Ensemble this upcoming school year. He has performed works by Larry Keigwin, Andy<br />
Noble, Bridget Moore, and Orion Duckstein.<br />
YeMAn BRoWn is a third year dance major at The Florida State University. In 2011, Brown studied as a<br />
fellowship student at the Ailey School Summer Intensive, where he worked with artist such as Stephanie<br />
Batten Bland, Melanie Pearson’s and Judine Somerville. As a senior member at the Tallahassee Ballet, he<br />
has danced roles in The Nutcracker, Cinderella, and The World Premier of Rick McCullough’s Rapunzel.<br />
Yeman Brown is a young man whose gift is dance, but mission is to inspire. Mr. Brown has been given the<br />
opportunity to teach children in central and north Florida, Alabama, and Canada. He would like to thank<br />
his parents Sherwood and Rebecca Brown for providing him with the freedom to explore his dreams, his<br />
teachers such as Gerri Houlihan and Jawole Zollar for encouraging him to chase his dreams, and God for<br />
being that omnipresent force to inspire the dream.
JAY CARlon is a freelance dance artist based in Los Angeles. He has performed with TSOU <strong>Dance</strong> Arts,<br />
LA Movement Arts, Donald McKayle, Keith Johnson, Rennie Harris, and Holly Johnston. He received his<br />
MFA in <strong>Dance</strong> at CSU Long Beach and BFA in <strong>Dance</strong>, Choreography at UC Irvine where he served as Pavel<br />
Zustiak’s rehearsal director for Blackbird (2009). He has presented work at Highways Performance Theater,<br />
John Pennington’s ARC, and the International Composer’s <strong>Festival</strong> in Spain. Carlon has taught various styles<br />
including modern, hip hop, contact improvisation, and ballet at Allan Hancock College, UCI, CSULB, and<br />

CHRIStopHeR CARvAlHo was originally from St. Louis Missouri but is currently a Junior at Chapman<br />
University, in Orange County California, where he is studying to receive a BFA in <strong>Dance</strong> Performance. At<br />
Chapman University he trains under Dale Merrill, Alicia Okouchi-Guy, Liz Maxwell, Seane Green, Nancy<br />
Dickson-Lewis, and Jenny Backhaus. He has performed pieces choreographed by Merce Cunningham,<br />
Donald McKayle, Alicia Okouchi-Guy, and Seane Green.<br />
Joe CASAnovA was born in Queens, NY. He began his formal ballet and jazz training at the age of 14<br />
under Hedi Khursandi and Tara Schweitzer in Vero Beach, FL. After graduating in 2010, from Indian River<br />
Charter High School, he continued training with Khursandi and studied at his local state college as a Physical<br />
Therapy Assistance Major. Joe began teaching contemporary and ballet dance classes at a local studio for<br />
young dancers at Andrew Curry’s <strong>Dance</strong> Space. In 2012, Casanova moved to Tallahassee, FL, where he<br />
attends and continues to train at Florida State University. Joe is also a soloist for The Tallahassee Ballet<br />
Company. He has performed repertory works from Gerri Houlihan, Jawole Zollar and Rick McCullough.<br />
YI-en CHen is from Taiwan. Yi-en is 20 years old and has studied dance for 3 years. This Aries “will create<br />
my sunshine since this amazing summer!”<br />
elYSe Cox is a South Carolina native who is currently working towards her MFA at Texas Woman’s<br />
University and received her BFA at Columbia College. As a performer Elyse has had many opportunities<br />
to work with varying dance artists including: Bebe Miller, Sarah Gamblin, Jordan Fuchs, Dan Wagnor, Big<br />
Rig <strong>Dance</strong> Collective, and the Power Company. Elyse has also had work shown at the national ACDFA<br />
conference in Washington, DC (2012), at the ACDFA southeast and mid-central conference (2009, 2012),<br />
at the 256 <strong>Dance</strong> <strong>Festival</strong> (2012) and at the South Carolina <strong>Dance</strong> Conference (2008-10).<br />
SHAnnA CRuZAt began her formal training ballet training at Homer Bryant Ballet <strong>Dance</strong> Center and<br />
became an understudy dancer at Deeply Rooted <strong>Dance</strong> Theater 2 in Chicago, IL. Cruzat currently attends<br />
The University of Michigan–Ann Arbor to receive her BFA in <strong>Dance</strong> and BA in English. During her time<br />
at U of M she has worked with Jessica Fogel, Melissa Beck, Rodney Brown, Robin Wilson, and Dianne<br />
McIntyre. Cruzat has performed and choreographed for ProDanza Italia in Castiglioncello, Italia and<br />
created original works performed on University of Michigan campus.<br />
KAtHeRIne ellIS A Virginia native, Katherine recently received a BFA in <strong>Dance</strong> and Choreography<br />
from Virginia Commonwealth University. While studying at VCU, she had the privilege to explore<br />
numerous choreographic, performing, and teaching opportunities. In 2009, she had the pleasure of<br />
studying abroad and performing in Arezzo, Italy with Scott Putman. Outside of VCU, she participated in<br />
We Are Artists under the direction of Autumn Proctor and Black Roeder, as well as the 2011 ADF, where<br />
she performed in two MFA thesis concerts for choreographers Stephanie Tack and Bruce Wong. In her<br />
second summer at ADF, Katherine is excited to see what the future holds.<br />
eMMA FAtH is originally from Lake Bluff, IL. She began her training at Jenny’s <strong>Dance</strong> Centre in Libertyville,<br />
IL and is currently a second year student at the University of Michigan. Emma has had the pleasure of<br />
training with Amy Chavasse, Peter Sparling, Michelle Manzanales, Leah Miller-Allen, and Judy Rice. She<br />
has studied at the Joffrey Academy, the Rock School for <strong>Dance</strong> Education, the Joffrey Midwest Workshop,<br />
and the Rock School for <strong>Dance</strong> Education. This is her first time at the ADF and she is very excited about<br />
becoming a member of this wonderful family.<br />
nICK HeRMAn attends the University of Oregon, and recently converted from Marine Biology to<br />
<strong>Dance</strong> Major. Although not a dancer early on in life (taking his first dance class a year and a half ago),<br />
he has played sports since age four. While at the University of Oregon he has had the opportunity to<br />
perform in several concerts, including the piece that represented the University of Oregon at ACDFA.<br />
He would also like to thank his whole family for their support, and his mom who made the drive down<br />
from Connecticut to see him perform here. I love you mom.
JeSSe HuntleY is a senior at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Jesse began his training at<br />
a competition dance studio in NC. He later transitioned into the world of ballet and modern dance at the<br />
University of North Carolina School of the Arts and then on to UNC-Greensboro. Jesse has continued to<br />
train at professional studios such as the Millennium <strong>Dance</strong> Complex and the Edge Performing Arts Center<br />
in Los Angeles, California. Jesse has performed with professional companies including the Winston-Salem<br />
<strong>Festival</strong> Ballet and is currently dancing for Jen Guy Metcalf and her company, TERRANOVA <strong>Dance</strong>.<br />
CHRIStInA JoHnSon is a student at Virginia Commonwealth University. Her home town is Baltimore<br />
MD, where she studied under Stephanie Powell and Nadia Porter. Recently finishing her freshman year,<br />
she has performed in four student works and received the Outstanding Freshman Award. Identifying<br />
herself as a hip hop dancer, she enjoys rhythms. She has also worked with Sharon Montella in 2011<br />
performing in NYC. Talented, involved, and never giving up on dreams, she would love to be in Alvin<br />
Ailey or Paul Taylor’s Company. Almost aborted, Christina Johnson feels blessed to have the opportunity<br />
of living and not just existing.<br />
nICole RAe JoneS is from Pittsburgh, PA and is currently a senior working for a BA in <strong>Dance</strong> and<br />
History at Point Park University. She has participated in Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, <strong>American</strong> Ballet Theatre,<br />
and the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Arts summer intensives. Through her training at Point<br />
Park, Nicole has performed the works of Gerald Arpino, Ohad Naharin, Martha Graham, Douglas Bentz,<br />
Kiesha Lalama-White, and Patrick Franz. Nicole would like to thank Reggie for this amazing opportunity<br />
and privilege to work with him. She also thanks and praises God for His blessings.<br />
lISA KuSAnAgI is a native of Tokyo, Japan, where she began her formal dance training at Matsuyama<br />
Ballet School under the guidance of Yoko Morishita. She came to the US in 2007 to pursue her career as a<br />
performing artist and graduated with a BA in Theatre Arts and <strong>Dance</strong> from Sonoma State University. As a<br />
scholarship student, she attended ADF and Bates <strong>Dance</strong> <strong>Festival</strong>. Kusanagi recently finished an internship<br />
with Mark Haim at On the Boards in Seattle. She is thrilled and humbled to be a part of <strong>Footprints</strong> and<br />
would like to thank ADF and Reggie Wilson for the opportunity. She sends special thanks to her family,<br />

JoHnnIe MeRCeR JR. is a native of Richmond Virginia and a graduate of the Appomattox Regional<br />
Governors School. His dance training began under Annette Holt of the City <strong>Dance</strong> Theater of Richmond,<br />
and began formal training at Richmond Ballet’s Summer Intensive 2010 as a full scholarship student.<br />
Johnnie is currently obtaining a BFA in <strong>Dance</strong> and Choreography from Virginia Commonwealth University<br />
where he is a Carpenter Scholar. He has worked with James Frazier, Christian Von Howard, and Martha<br />
Curtis as well as performed in works by Shen Wei, Paul Taylor, Twyla Tharp, and William Forsythe. This<br />
is Johnnie’s second season performing on the Reynolds stage, and second year as a tuition scholarship<br />
student at ADF. He would like to thank all who donated in the past to the ADF and to all who support<br />
him in pushing toward his career.<br />
JoSHuA MunoZ began his dance career in 2009 at Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pennsylvania. Although<br />
he began his training in ballet, he soon found a love for modern and postmodern dance. This past year<br />
he transferred to Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and is enjoying his first summer at ADF.<br />
He has had the privilege to work with many well known choreographers including Bruce Marks, Carter<br />
Alexander, Kiesha Lalama-White, Darrell Grand Moultrie, Terrence Greene, Maria Caruso, and Randy<br />
James. He would like to thank his mentor James Dixon and his family for their support and assistance<br />
through everything.<br />
SAM pRAtt is a rising junior at Bard College studying in <strong>Dance</strong> and Philosophy. He studies Hip-Hop<br />
with Kelly Peters in New York City, and contemporary with Jean Churchill and Leah Cox at Bard. He wants<br />
everyone to know that he has the deepest appreciation for all the wisdom that flows from the Bard/<br />
NYLA partnership, and wants to send a special thanks to Paul Matteson for his leadership, creativity, and<br />
ability to inspire. This is Sam’s first summer at ADF. He is thrilled to be working with Reggie Wilson.<br />
RYAn D. RoulAnD SMItH graduated from the Denver School of the Arts in 2009 having performed<br />
in works by Hannah Kahn, Martha Graham’s Panorama and David Dorfman’s Underground. He will<br />
be finishing his BFA at Virginia Commonwealth University this year, as a recipient of the Carpenter<br />
Scholarship. At VCU he has performed in works by, Stephanie Batten Bland of SBB Birdlegs, Scott Putman,<br />
and most recently Christian Von Howard. Currently Ryan dances with Amaranth Contemporary <strong>Dance</strong><br />
and Ground Zero <strong>Dance</strong> in Richmond, VA. He is very excited to be here at his first ADF.
SCott StAMpone began his training with the Metropolitan Ballet Academy in Jenkintown, PA, under<br />
the artistic direction of Lisa Collins Vidnovic and William DeGregory. The company performed several<br />
prize-winning contemporary works by Kanji Segawa and Kate Skarpetowska at the annual Regional <strong>Dance</strong><br />
America <strong>Festival</strong>. He has had the pleasure of attending summer intensives with Alvin Ailey <strong>American</strong><br />
<strong>Dance</strong> Theater, The Juilliard School, Hubbard Street <strong>Dance</strong> Chicago, and the Movement Invention Project<br />
in NYC. Currently studying dance at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, he is mentored by Kay Cummings,<br />
Pamela Pietro, Gus Solomons Jr., Sean Curran, Cherylyn Lavagnino, Jolinda Menendez, James Sutton, and<br />
James Martin. He is ecstatic to be at ADF, where he’s experiencing plenty of blood, sweat, and tears–the<br />
happy kind–on a daily basis.<br />
<strong>Footprints</strong> proDuCtion<br />
DAvID FeRRI (Lighting Designer) has worked with prominent choreographers such as Eiko & Koma,<br />
Pina Bausch, Shen Wei, Doug Varone, Jane Comfort, Yin Mei, David Rousseve, and Ballet Preljocaj. He<br />
has been the Production Manager for the prestigious ADF since 1996, training upcoming designers in<br />
America. He is the recipient of the 1987-1988 “Bessie” Award for his design of Doug Varone’s Straits,<br />
and 2000-2001 “Bessie” Award for Sustained Achievement in Lighting Design. Mr. Ferri is the resident<br />
Lighting Designer - Technical Director for The Vassar College <strong>Dance</strong> Department. Mr. Ferri was also the<br />
resident lighting designer and technical director at PS 122 from 1985-1991. Mr. Ferri lives in New York<br />
between his travels and projects.<br />
DAvID BRInKMAn (Costume Designer) began his costuming career while dancing with Colorado<br />
Ballet under director Martin Freedman. He has reconstructed costumes for great Choreographers such<br />
as Frederick Franklin and Madame Krisoffska and has worked with the Ruth Page Foundation. John has<br />
designed and constructed many full length ballets such as The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella,<br />
and Swan Lake. His costuming career spans the life of his dancing career with Colorado Ballet, Tulsa Ballet<br />
Theater, and City Ballet of Houston, along with several contemporary dance companies throughout<br />
the US. Currently, John is the designer and owner of J & K Costumes in Fort Worth, TX, specializing in<br />
anything dance and theater related. 2012 marks John’s 2nd season with the ADF and he is proud to join<br />
such a diverse and collaborative family.<br />
ReBeCCA BlACKWell (Stage Manager, The Darling Divide) is currently based in Seattle, Washington,<br />
where she is pursing her BFA in <strong>Dance</strong> from Cornish College of the Arts. She is happy to say that this is<br />
her second summer working on the ADF crew and plans on continuing her career in both dance and<br />
production upon graduation.<br />
KASSon MARRoquIn (Stage Manager, AKULALUTHO) recently received his BA in theatre with an<br />
emphasis in stage management from the University of North Texas. Kasson’s previous stage management<br />
positions at UNT include: the New Choreographers Concerts (2011 and 2012), the Faculty <strong>Dance</strong><br />
Concert (2011), and Reefer Madness the musical (2012). Kasson also attended the South Central<br />
<strong>American</strong> College <strong>Dance</strong> <strong>Festival</strong> as stage manager with UNT in 2011 and 2012. Outside of UNT Kasson<br />
was assistant stage manager for Contemporary Theatre of Dallas’ Five Women Wearing the Same Dress<br />
and Cheaters in the 2011 season. Kasson is currently a production intern for the ADF and is grateful for<br />
the opportunity to stage manage this new and exciting piece!<br />
JulIe veRDone (Stage Manager, Paper Wings) is a Stagecraft Apprentice for the ADF this summer.<br />
She is currently pursuing a BFA in Art & Design with a minor in <strong>Dance</strong> at Alfred University. This spring,<br />
she performed in Letter to the World II, a multi-media performance installation in Hornell, NY,<br />
choreographed by D. Chase Angier. With her interest in the visual integrity of performance, she is<br />
grateful for the opportunity to develop a deeper understand of live art from a technical point of view.
