General InformationReturns Policy (continued)Sources reported and returned afterthe 60 day period will not be givencredit, nor will EZIP pay for thereturn freight.In the case that the customerordered the incorrect part the followingwill apply:The customer will have 30 days torequest a replacement source. Therewill be a restocking fee charged forthe original source. If the customercalls between 30 and 60 days, only50% credit will be given for theoriginal source.After a 60 day period no creditwill be given.In the event that the sources arebeing returned from an overseaslocation, the shipment must be sentwith Delivery Duty Paid (DDP) termsso that the customer is billed for allfees.Nuclear MedicineSource Disposal PolicyEckert and Ziegler Isotope Products(EZIP) will take back all nuclear medicinesources for disposal on a onefor-onebasis. A source may bereturned for disposal as long as theequivalent replacement source ispurchased from EZIP at the time ofthe disposal request.The customer will be required topay all shipping costs for the returnof the sources. In the event that thesources are being returned from anoverseas location, the shipmentmust be sent with Delivery Duty Paid(DDP) terms so that the customer isbilled for all fees.Please note the customers will becharged for any unauthorized return,including freight.Terms, Conditions and WarrantyOur payment terms are net 30 daysfrom date of shipment, delays inmailing of invoice notwithstanding.All payments are to be made inU.S. Dollars. A $700 docu mentarycollec tion handling charge will beassessed to all orders involv ing adocumentary letter of credit or draftfor collection. A $50 handling feewill be charged for all ordersinvolving prepayment via wiretransfer of funds. All new accountsmust submit banking informationand three references for creditreview. Please allow three days toverify your credit status.See page 32 for complete terms andconditions.Methods of CalibrationEZIP participates in the RadioactivityMeasurement Assurance Program(MAP) conducted by the NationalInstitute of Standards andTechnology (NIST) in cooperationwith NIST RadioactivityMeasurement Assurance Program,Inc. (NRMAP, Inc.).In this program, NIST provides blindsamples which are assayed by EZIP,with the results sent to NIST. NISTthen reports back to EZIP the differencebetween the NIST calibratedvalue and the EZIP calibrated value.In addition, EZIP routinely sends finishedproducts to NIST for productverification and calibration. Overthe years, EZIP has maintained ahigh degree of precision andaccuracy with NIST. Traceability isestablished and maintained throughthis cross-calibration process.In addition to NIST traceability, EZIPis also accredited through DKD (aglobally recognized calibrationaccreditation agency) to offer DKDaccredited calibrations for a largenumber of radionuclides that EZIPregularly handles in its manufacturingfacilities. Please contact customerservice for availability of DKDaccredited certification of yoursources.A calibration certificate is providedfor each traceable source purchasedfrom EZIP as either NIST or DKD. Thecertificate provides a statement oftraceability, a complete descriptionof the physical and nuclear characteristicsof the source, a descriptionof the method of calibration, andquantitative identification of theknown and detected impurities.Activities are given in the Curie andSI systems. Most sources are manufacturedto a precision of ±15% withrespect to the customer’s requestedactivity. NIST traceable sources typicallyhave an accuracy of ±5% orbetter with respect to the certifiedmeasured value. Non-traceable(nominal) sources have an accuracyof ±15% with respect to the measuredvalue and are supplied with aNominal Source Data Sheet orCertificate which characterizes thesource and its properties. EZIP useshalf-lives listed in such nuclear referencestandards as IAEA TECDOC-619.Please refer to your Certificate ofCalibration or Nominal Source DataSheet/Certificate for the appropriatenuclear data concerning yoursource.2
