The chemical properties of biodieselare generally much different than conventional diesel and other fossil fuels.This is evidenced by the fact that motor manufacturers, especially in theautomobile industry, are very cautious when approving their products foruse with this fuel. Biofuels and their intermediate products are significantlymore aggressive than petroleum-based oils, and this is the main reason thatmakes them more difficult fluids for pumps (and motors) to handle.Materials that contact the liquid must be extremely durable and have theability to resist corrosion.
