The advantages of RACI spacersSpacers aremanufacturedentirely out ofhigh densitypolyethylene (HDPE).No metal boltsor attachments arerequired.The modular systemwhich permits tocompose insulatorrings allows spacersto be used on awide pipe diameterrange thereforereducing inventorycosts.Spacers arequickly and easilyassembled bymanually fittingelements one intothe other.The tooth insertionmethod allowson site adjustmentsto fit a wide rangeof pipe diameters.A low frictioncoefficientguarantees an easyinsertion into thecasing.Raci spacer elements are the result of a deep structural analysis and of computer-assisteddesign and manufacturing which represent the best compromise between mechanicalresistance and material used. No metallic parts are involved for their assembly.Each element represents a flexible section with a toothed male strap at one endand an appropriate toothed female slot on the other end.This design allows on site adjustments for variances within the O.D. range and permitsto cover all types of pipes within the global range which goes from 30 to 3414 mm.Spacers aredesigned and testedto maintaincontinuous andlong term supportfor the carrier pipeand its contents.Spacers provide aconstant projectionaround the entirecircumference ofthe carrier pipe.Spacersprovide long termprotection fromcorrosion.Spacers can beinstalled onsteel-coated pipes,concrete pipes,ductile iron pipesor plastic pipes.Spacers are divided into six models which address a wide range of pipe sizes.All of the elements are designed according to different applications.They must in fact ensure different static and dynamic characteristics in orderto guarantee the safest job on site.Each grouping offers varying support heights which allow spacers to clear bell joints,flanges, couplings or simply to offer a better centring.The available height range goes from 15 to 130 mm.Special applicationsFor applications with a continuous temperature above 60° C Nylon spacers are available.Customized versions can also be manufactured with other types of polymers accordingto mechanical and thermal requirements.www.raci.it - info@raci.it4 Spacers for pipelines / Cased crossings
