RIGHT OF SALE: Should any bidder default in paying for lot(s) purchased by th<strong>at</strong> bidder or their agents, the bidder shall also be responsible for:any deficiency in the price between the resale amount which should have been paid by the bidder;any costs incurred by <strong>Maynards</strong> for the care and custody of such goods until they can be resold;the amount of commission th<strong>at</strong> <strong>Maynards</strong> would have earned had the bidder not refused payment, including the buyer’s premium.10. BIDDER’S RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties of the bidder are to inspect any goods upon which they are planning to bid, to check carefully for any damage or loss,and to s<strong>at</strong>isfy themselves during the days of public preview as to the accuracy of our c<strong>at</strong>alogue descriptions.11. BIDDER’S ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS: The bidder acknowledges his or her acceptance of these Conditions of Sale when he or she exercises the option to bid.12. ASSISTANCE IN REMOVAL OF GOODS: <strong>Maynards</strong> may provide assistance to the bidder with packing or removing goods from the <strong>auction</strong> floor once sold but weare not responsible for any damage which may occur during th<strong>at</strong> time. Clients are further advised th<strong>at</strong> check-out of small items may be permitted after 9:00 p.m. on salenights. Large pieces of furniture, rugs, sets of china and crystal, large paintings, etc. may only be removed <strong>at</strong> the end of th<strong>at</strong> sale session. It is the responsibility of thebuyer to bring sufficient wrapping m<strong>at</strong>erial and boxes, etc. In the event of fire or theft of goods, however caused, <strong>Maynards</strong>’ responsibility will be to the amount of thepurchase price only. We are not responsible for the security of goods left after the MONDAY, JUNE 11TH, 2012BY 5:00 PM DEADLINE.13. WARRANTIES: In all cases, any st<strong>at</strong>ements made by the <strong>auction</strong>eer regarding authorship, age, d<strong>at</strong>e, origin, prior history or use, reason for sale, fitness for any purpose,etc. is merely an expression of the <strong>auction</strong>eer’s opinion and the bidder agrees and understands th<strong>at</strong> such expression is not a represent<strong>at</strong>ion of fact or warranty under anycircumstance.14. CATALOGUE ENTRIES: <strong>Maynards</strong> c<strong>at</strong>alogue entries are provided for guide purposes only. Inform<strong>at</strong>ion herein is drawn from reference m<strong>at</strong>erial which <strong>Maynards</strong>believes to be highly reliable. No lot will be cancelled due to inaccuracies in c<strong>at</strong>aloguing, or due to omissions in the c<strong>at</strong>alogue regarding damage, loss, repairs,restor<strong>at</strong>ion, etc.15. AUTHORSHIP OF PAINTINGS: Should any dispute arise over the authorship of any painting or print offered in the sale, the purchaser of record must notify<strong>Maynards</strong> in writing <strong>at</strong> a d<strong>at</strong>e not l<strong>at</strong>er than 14 days after the actual d<strong>at</strong>e of sale providing sufficient reason for their dispute of our <strong>at</strong>tribution.16. RESERVES: Certain goods may be offered subject to a confidential reserve placed by the owner. The <strong>auction</strong>eer in such cases may bid on behalf of the owner only tothe amount of the reserve. Consignors are not permitted to bid on their consignment property.17. ABSENTEE BIDS: The <strong>auction</strong>eer, as a courtesy to clients, will accept absentee bids for clients unable to <strong>at</strong>tend this sale. <strong>Maynards</strong> is not responsible for bids enteredincorrectly or for bids missed, or any other errors or failures. All outstanding accounts for absentee bidders must be settled in full by MONDAY, JUNE 11TH, 2012BY5:00 PM18. BIDDER REGISTRATION: Bidders are required to register and obtain a numbered bidding card if they are <strong>at</strong>tending the sale in person. No bidding card will beshared between two or more bidders; the bidder of record will be held responsible for the settlement in full of the outstanding account before any goods may be removed.19. EXPORT PERMIT INFORMATION: Certain property sold <strong>at</strong> <strong>auction</strong> may be subject to laws governing exports from Canada (such as, the provisions of theCULTURAL PROPERTY EXPORT AND IMPORT ACT and various endangered species ie: ivory, tortoiseshell fossilized whalebone, etc.) and import restrictions offoreign countries. The export of any lot from Canada, or import into any other country, may be subject to granting by local authorities of one or more export or importlicenses, as the case may be. It is the buyer’s responsibility to obtain any relevant export or import licenses. All lots purchased from <strong>Maynards</strong> shall be paid for as setout in our Terms & Conditions (Sec. 4) and the denial of any export or import license or any delay in the obtaining of such license shall not justify the rescission orcancell<strong>at</strong>ion of any sale or any delay in making payment of the total purchase price for the lot. <strong>Maynards</strong> is unable to assist in obtaining any of the above-mentionedexport or import license documents.
