o Resident should stay through rounds and ensure that all plans are “tidied up”and then go homeCardiology AdmissionsACGME’s requirements:1 resident, 2 intern teams can carry no more than 20 patients at any one time.Interns may carry no more than 10 patients at any given timeInterns may admit no more than 5 new patient admissions in a 24 hours period (the DayIntern may admit up to 5, and the Resident may admit an additional 5).Interns may admit no more than 8 new patients in a 48 hour period (the “8 in 48 rule”)An Upper Level Resident may admit no more than 10 new patient admissions in a 24 hourperiod (see above).
