Dávila :: Professor Dávila is on sabbatical during the fall <strong>2012</strong> semester.Sarah DrummondSarah Drummond :: Dean Drummond attended the <strong>2012</strong> biennial meeting of the Associationof <strong>Theological</strong> <strong>School</strong>s, where she facilitated a panel titled “Reconsidering Old Patterns: Big Questionsin Academic Practice” that focused on three seminary presidents who are engaging new models fortheological education. She also led a workshop on Student Learning Assessment for the <strong>2012</strong> meetingof the Chief Academic Officers Society.14Dean Drummond is consulting with two other seminaries on the connection between curriculumreform and student learning assessment. Her first love remains campus religious life. She serves asan Affiliated Minister at Memorial Church at Harvard University, and in 2011-12 she served on thesearch advisory committee in Harvard’s search for a new Plummer Professor of Christian Morals andPusey Minister in the Memorial Church. She is actively involved in creating the new intensive trackin the D.Min. program and taught the first-semester seminar in June. He will return to China in the winter 2013term, leading the border crossing course “Faith in a New China.”Jeff JonesJeff Jones :: Professor Jones retired from his part-time pastorate at First Baptist Church of Plymouththis October. Not wanting to remain idle, however, he has assumed a new full-time position asDirector of Ministry Studies at <strong>Andover</strong> <strong>Newton</strong>. Working with the Media Center, he has writtenand recorded a series of studies on discipleship, based on his book Traveling Together: A Guide forDisciple-Forming Congregations. The series will be used by the American Baptist Churches of Indianaand Kentucky as a resource for congregations. He also happily welcomed his first grandson this year!
