P-SRF NPROCESS STERILE AIR FILTER ELEMENTSCompressed Air & Process Filtration

When Purity Counts…Count on DonaldsonAs one of the world’s leading manufacturers of compressed air purification equipment and process filters, and with over 35 years of expertise, Donaldson has built a comprehensive engineering, manufacturing, and customer support network providing filters that meet the most demanding application requirements.Donaldson innovative designs focus on energy-efficient operation and reliable performance to minimizeoperating expenses and reduce downtime. Donaldson provides industrial air, sterile air, culinary steam, and liquid filtration products from prefiltration to final, and from low to high capacity, so when puritycounts, count on Donaldson. The Donaldson P-SRF N sterile pleated depth filter element is used for sterile filtration of compressed air, process air, technical gases and vent applications. The retention rate is >99.99998% related to 0.2 µm and>99.9999998% related to 0.02 µm ensuring safe and sterile filtration of process gases. The P-SRF N provideslow pressure drop, high dirt-holding capacity, great strength, and long service life to dramatically reduceyour operating costs.FEATURES & BENEFITS• Thirteen sizes and available connection optionsmeet virtually all air purification applicationrequirements.• High-quality stainless steel construction ensuresexcellent mechanical stability, thermal resistanceup to 392˚F, more than 150 sterilization cyclespossible at specific conditions, and is suitedfor Vapor Phase Hydrogen Peroxide (VPHP)sterilization.• Three-dimensional borosilicate depth filter mediahas large void volume of 95%, is chemically inertand developed specifically for the removal ofcontaminating bacteria and viruses.• This inherently hydrophobic media ensures highflow rates, an extremely low pressure drop, andexcellent dewetting characteristics.• The validated retention of bacteria and virusesprovides high safety for aseptic applicationsin all industries.• The depth filter medium is non-fiber releasing andall components meet the FDA requirements forcontact with food in accordance with the Code ofFederal Regulations (CFR), title 21. The filter elementis manufactured according to DIN EN ISO 9001.

Contact Donaldson for recommend autoclaving/steaming/sterilization procedures. For more information on sterile air, please refer to the Sterile Air brochure.Sterilize-In-Place (SIP) Procedure• With SIP, the filter element and housing remain in placeand steam is used to sterilize the filtration system withoutthe need for disassembly.• The steam used for SIP must be free of rust and otherparticles.• Steam pressure must not be allowed to fall below 15 psigthroughout the SIP process.• Condensate must be drained from the system duringsterilization.Autoclave• Generally, only the filter element is sterilized in anautoclave, but both the housing and element can besterilized if removed from the process, disassembledand put in the autoclave.• Any air trapped in the housing must be vented.• Upstream and downstream pressure gauges must be usedto ensure differential pressure across the filter does notexceed 5 psid during SIP.• After sterilization, pressurize the system with process air orgas up to the steam pressure used and allow the system tocool until ready for use.• Always use the lowest possible sterilization temperature toavoid excess stress on the filter element.• In addition to the cycle times given above, follow thespecific procedures provided with the autoclave in use.Dewetting Characteristics/Air Drying of Elements after SteamingDewetting characteristics of a P-SRF N 05/25 after steaming at 14.5 psi for 30 minutes.
