UNSEALED ROADS:DESIGN, CONSTRUCTIONAND MAINTENANCENovember 2009(2nd Edition)In 2009, CSIR Built Environment released an updated andexpanded edition of the widely used South African GravelRoads Handbook, Technical Recommendations for HighwaysNo 20: The structural design, construction and maintenanceof unpaved roads, initially issued in 1990. This editionassesses the results of the latest research and developmentsand includes the findings resulting from the implementationof the original document.
