Signature Cure and Seal 309100 VOCPRODUCT DESCRIPTION• Signature Cure and Seal 309-100 VOC is a solvent based,clear acrylate co-polymer curingcompound, dust proofer and sealerall in one. Signature Cure andSeal 309-100 VOC minimizesmoisture loss from evaporation innewly placed concrete to providemaximum strength, hardnessand protection. If in doubtabout penetrability, test the surfaceby sprinkling with water. Signature Cure and Seal 309100 VOCPREPARATION • If applying overexisting concrete, Legacy stronglyrecommends representative jobsitesamples. Individuals who will beperforming the work should testdifferent sections of the concrete todetermine suitability, coverage, andfinal appearance. The applicationarea must be completely cleanand dry to the touch. Pressurewashing and power scrubbing maybe necessary. The recommendedsurface profile for Legacy sealersis a CSP1 or CSP2. Surfacepreparation guidelines are writtenby ICRI and outlined in GuidelineNo. 03732 Selecting and SpecifyingConcrete Surface Preparation forSealers, Coatings, and PolymerOverlays. Remove all efflorescence,oil, dirt, wax, old paints, sealers,and curing compounds. RINSETHOROUGHLY. Allow the surfaceto dry at least 24 hours. Soaps anddetergents should never be usedfor cleaning. Dried residue on thesurface will prevent the sealer frombonding. Acid washing is NOTrecommended. If acid is used, arepresentative area must be tested.Soak the entire surface with waterbefore applying the acid mixture.When the fizzing stops, rinse withclean water. After 10 or 15 minutes,the surface must then be flushedwith clean water and neutralizedwith a pH neutralizer such asammonia, baking soda, or T.S.P.Repeat rinsing and neutralizing.Acid residue will prevent thesealer from penetrating. Allowthe surface to dry for at least 24hours prior to application. NOTRECOMMENDED for pre-sealedor dense surfaces, such as glazedtile, marble or granite, dense brick,dense slate, or terrazzo. If in doubt,test the surface by sprinklingwith water. If water beads up onthe surface, additional cleaningA Division of Solomon Colors, Inc.and testing must be done. Do notuse where hydrostatic pressure ispresent.APPLICATION • Signature Cureand Seal 309-100 VOC shouldbe applied to fresh concreteimmediately after final finish andall surface water has completelyevaporated, the surface can be dampbut not wet or with puddles. Applywith a quality concrete cure n sealpump sprayer as soon as possiblewithout marring the finish. Applyuniformly at a rate of 250-300square feet per gallon, avoid heavyspray, puddling and over saturation.If a second coat is desired it can beapplied after the first coat is tackfree.Integral Color ConcreteIt is imperative to wait until allthe water has evaporated from theconcrete surface, even if it delaysthe curing for a short time, applyingcure and seal over integrallycolored concrete with excessivemoisture at the surface may creatediscoloration, splotchy areas,blushing and uneven color.MAINTENANCE • The sealedsurface should be inspectedperiodically for areas of thinor traffic-worn sealer. Legacyrecommends the application ofFloor Wax as a sacrificial coatingon interior surfaces. Reapplyas needed, according to theappropriate Technical Data Sheet. Iftraces of efflorescence are present,this should first be eliminated witha gentle cleaner.WARRANTY • This product isnot intended for public use andis intended for use by licensedcontractors and installers,experienced and trained in the useof these products. It is warrantedto be of uniform quality, withinmanufacturing tolerances. Themanufacturer has no control overthe use of this product, therefore,no warranty, expressed or implied,is or can be made either as to theeffects or results of such use. In anycase, the manufacturer’s obligationsshall be limited to refunding thepurchase price or replacing materialproven defective.
