Luckey Academic <strong>Honors</strong> Program at <strong>Morehead</strong> <strong>State</strong> <strong>University</strong>is a reasonable amount of service: a minimum of 80 hours during four years. We have made our definition ofservice intentionally broad, to allow <strong>Honors</strong> students to choose the kinds of service they find mostmeaningful and congenial. For your essay (2-3 pages, typed, double spaced), please choose one or more ofthe options listed below, and describe the service you might offer if you were awarded the <strong>Honors</strong><strong>Scholarship</strong>. Please be sure to consider these points:--Why would you choose this kind of service? Do you have special skills, knowledge or motivation? Whydo you consider this kind of service especially valuable?--What challenges and disappointments would you expect to encounter? How might you cope with them?--How would you coordinate your service with your academic work and other responsibilities?
