The décor may be a tad posh,
and the dishes elegantly plated,
but dining at the Cornerstone
feels as if you’re just chilling on a
friend’s patio. You sit on wicker
chairs, and no matter if you are
clad in Bermudas and T-shirt;
chef and co-owner Yeo Kian
Tiong will warmly welcome
you to his “western-fusion”
restaurant. Share a plate of
the Charcoal Grill Hokkaido
Squid ($16) or opt for the
St Nicholas
Beef Short
Ribs

St Nicholas Beef Short Ribs ($22)
which is dressed with the chef’s
signature red wine veal sauce.
Leave room for the decadent
desserts, especially the Bombe
Alaska ($14) with strawberry and
chocolate gelato fi lling.

This open-concept café makes for a fuss-free
rest stop after a physically rigorous day out
at MacRitchie Reservoir Park. Conveniently
located near the park’s multi-storey carpark
and restrooms, the café is a family favourite.
Adults can chow down on its signature
dishes dish — Laksa ($3.90) and Curry Chicken
($4.90) ($4 which contain no coconut milk.
