THE MERCEDES-BENZ MUSEUM
A tribute to the "car with the star"
In 2006 Germany's biggest automobile museum
to date, the Mercedes-Benz Museum
at the NeckarPark, opened its doors to the
public. With its unique and highly impressive
architecture, the museum's double-helix
construction towers alongside the Mercedes-
Benz Arena in Stuttgart's Bad Cannstatt
district.
Once inside, visitors can marvel at 16 500
sq.m of exhibition space illustrating the past,
present and future of the Mercedes-Benz
brand. The first Benz Patent Motor Car dating
from 1886 is on show, as are the legendary
automobiles of the 1930s and the
Formula 1 Silver Arrow series, including the
cars driven by world champions Mika Häkkinen
and Lewis Hamilton.
Each section of the Mercedes-Benz Museum
is individually tuned to the technical
and historical development of the cars on
display, creating a feeling of absolute
authenticity. Let yourself be captivated by
over a century of enthralling automotive
history.
