Patsy Cline, Cowboy Copas und Hawkshaw Hawkins wollten<br />
nach Nashville fliegen, doch die Piper Comanche mit einem<br />
unerfahrenem Piloten stürzte in stürmischem Wetter kurz vor dem<br />
Ziel ab. Es gab keine Überlebenden. - Cline ist noch heute ein<br />
Superstar; die Namen Copas und Hawkins hingegen sind<br />

forty-five years ago country music stars died in plane crash. Patsy<br />
Cline, Cowboy Copas and Hawkshaw Hawkins planned to fly to<br />
Nashville in a Piper Comanche. The weather was turbulent, and<br />
thunderstorms pelted the area. The plane crashed eighty-five<br />
miles outside of Nashville. There were no survivors. Forty-five<br />
years later, the country music community still grieves over this<br />
enormous loss. — If Cline’s star still shines brightly, Copas and<br />
Hawkins’ names have largely faded from public memory. <strong>Bear</strong><br />
<strong>Family</strong> <strong>Records</strong> remembers these legendary singers with three<br />
new releases in its critically acclaimed ‘Gonna Shake This Shack’<br />

Jahrelang waren Titel wie diese nur unsortiert auf<br />
CD-Anthologien zu haben, ergänzt um Füllmaterial. Jetzt gibt es<br />
sie erstmals komprimiert auf einer Einzel-CD, alle Aufnahmen<br />
stammen von den Originalbändern, und es erfolgte ein neues<br />
Mastering. Die CD enthält auch bisher unveröffentlichte<br />

72 mns. - Though her reputation rests on seductive,<br />
easy-listening ballads, Patsy Cline frequently cut catchy uptempo<br />
tracks during the first five years of her brief recording career. This<br />
release culls the best of them, including her 1957 country hit<br />
‘Walking After Midnight’, rockers like ‘Stop, Look And Listen’ and<br />
bouncy numbers like ‘Honky Tonk Merry-Go-Round’. For years<br />
these sides have been released scattershot across countless CD<br />
anthologies padded with filler. Now they’re collected onto one<br />
compact disc, all songs digitally remastered from the original<br />
session tapes. The set also includes previously unissued<br />
