� On this album Dale Hawkins is surrounded by some of the
best musicians available - The Crickets and Dale join forces on
‘Well..All Right’. James Burton and Dale Hawkins are back in
studio together for the first time since late 60’s. Several of the
sessions included Joe Osborne, Larry Knechtel (Bread), Kenny
Brown (sideman to R.L. Burnside ) and others as guest musicians
on the tracks - some well know and a few obscure surprises.
Special mention goes to Pekka Laine (Hypnomen) and Mika
Liikari (Barnshakers) who had a chance to play with Dale while
he was in Finland. The guys overdubbed the guitar & upright
bass to Wildcat Tamer in Helsinki and the result is outstanding.
The Zonk release of Peaches/Gotta Dance is so rare that our
chances of finding original copies are slim. To alleviate this,
Beveric Records present a long soughtafter rock and roll classic
as a bonus along with the new and unreleased titles;

recordings that Ben made for Mercury between 1958 and 1960,

Up, Bundle Of Love, Whirlwind Blues, plus the rare Mercury
single by Ben’s guitarist, Ray Ethier (Slave Girl/President’s Walk),
plus seven previously unheard demo’s that were made by him
and Eden Music for Elvis, I Once Had A Woman, I’ll Get Over
You, Can I Be The One, Yesterday’s Dreams, Together, Just To
Spend One Day With You, and I Need Your Kind of Love. We at
Bear Family were all very saddened when we heard of Ben’s
death in 1996, but we’re trying to keep his joyous and spirited
rock ‘n’ roll music alive.
