2 | 3STETTER’S VERTICAL CONCRETE MIXING PLANTS.THE STANDARD FOR QUALITY, PERFORMANCE AND EFFICIENCY.Stetter vertical concrete mixing plants incorporate theknow-how of more than 45 years’ development, engineering, production and commissioning of concrete mixingplants. Constantly evolving technology as well as optimisation of the details has led to the high efficiency andreliability which characterise Stetter vertical plants today. The large complex mixing plants are configured by usto exactly meet your requirements. They consist of themain components material feeding, storage, batching andweighing components and mixing technique.THREE TYPE SERIES FOR YOUR NEEDSStetter vertical plants are based on three type series, which differ in size, storage of aggregates as well as inthe mixer capacity. The output achieved is up to approx.180 m 3 /h, or as twin tower up to approx. 260 m 3 /h. Youdecide on the suitable mixer system according to therequired application.According to the large variety of applications and thediffering requirements of our customers, our verticalplants offer ample designs and variants, so that themature modular system also makes economic individualsolutions possible.Stetter vertical plants are in operation all over the worldand in all climate zones. The technologically requiredconcrete temperatures are guaranteed under all conditionsby heating and cooling systems which are integratedin the concrete production process.

FEEDING, CONVEYANCE AND STORAGE.To meet your requirements. The aggregate feed hopper can besupplied in different configurations, dependingon the customer’s requirements:■ With part or entire “drive-over” facility■ Normal or low-height execution■ With wear plates or rubber lining■ Cover can be lowered either mechanicallyor hydraulically■ With one or two outlets■ Aggregates are fed-off via vibrating chutesor belt conveyorFeeding of aggregates in bunkers is donefor instance with two power-adjustedvibrating chutes onto an inclined belt conveyor.Feed-off belt conveyors can also beemployed instead of vibrating chutes. Theyensure a constant utilisation of the beltconveyor’s or bucket elevator’s capacity.Lifting of aggregates by belt conveyor:if enough space is available, smooth beltswith a maximum inclination of 17° areused. The picture shows a steep belt conveyorwith 26° inclination. The belt widthis suited to the capacity. Belt coversare available in different executions.Bucket elevators are designed accordingto the capacity requirements, whereasa two-shaft bucket elevator is providedas standard equipment. Buckets can besupplied in different executions. For highcapacityplants, a bucket width of up to800 mm is provided. Upon request, a creepspeed is offered for better maintenance andcleaning of buckets.

4 | 5The S-type conveyors provide optimaloperating safety, maximum running smoothness, more service life and, additio nally, easy maintenance. This high-tech equipmentis, however, of course also reflectedin the price. Moreover, interior conveyorsare also used. The distributing chute is the most economicand cleanest solution for distribution ofaggregates into the individual aggregatecompartments. Silos with larger diameterare equipped with a distributing belt, whichis either extractable or/and reversible –as required. The maintenance gangways arelaid out according to the Regulations forthe Prevention of Accidents (UVV).Metering of the filling level is done withminimum/maximum probes. Upon request, ultrasonic devices or cameras are alsoinstalled for monitoring the filling level. The large-dimensioned screw conveyorplatform with ample space is available withor without housing.Uncontrolled cement consumption isprevented by pneumatic gates.Safety device against over and under-pressurein a compact and technically perfectconstruction for the cement silos. Thanksto its location it is easy to maintain.Vibrating filters are provided as standardequipment, other systems on request.

6 | 7A logical development in combination with recycling plants:hot-galvanized water weighing container for weighing of freshwater and residual concrete slurry water. The weighing system canbe combined with a slurry water pressure pump. Water is then ledinto the mixer via spiral nozzles.Where flowmeters or volumetric batching devices were used forbatching of admixtures, Stetter nowadays installs weighingsystems with fully automatic flushing. Size and number of compartmentsas required. The moisture meter developed and produced by Stetter fullymeets the requirements for ready-mix concrete. Moisture in sand iscorrected automatically within split seconds. The cement weighing system is equipped with load cells.■ The inside of the weighing container is protected with durablesliding means.■ The standard equipment comprises six inlets (upon request upto nine) and a vibrator.■ If white cement is used, a second weighing system will be installed.■ The de-aerator provides optimal dust protection.■ Weighing systems with two mixers are equipped with a two-waydistributor.

STETTER PAN MIXERS AND TWIN-SHAFT MIXERS.The guarantees for reliability and quality concrete.PAN MIXERSStetter pan mixers guarantee production of quality concretein all slump ranges as they mix intensively, thanksto short mixing paths both horizontally and vertically. The result: homogenous concrete with short mixingtimes and low energy input. The spring-mounted mixingarms can be adjusted quickly and without difficulty andare protected against wear by polyurethane sleeves.Upon request, shovels made of syntethic material inconjunction with reinforced carbide for outer scrapers forparticularly long lifetimes are available. The mixing trough is lined with exchangeable wear plateson the inner and outer wall as well as on the mixingtrough bottom. As an option, the mixing trough bottomcan either be lined with special chilled cast iron tilesor tiles made of ceramics. The pan mixer can be equipped with up to three hydraulicallyactuated discharge gates which are driven by themixer motor, designed either as a sliding gate or as anewly developed flap. The dustproof mixer cover can befully opened for maintenance and cleaning.Inner and outer scraper support mixing anddischarging effect. The agitator achieves the highest concretehomogeneity and the most effective breakdownof cement paste.Stetter pan mixer T 1500.

8 | 9TWIN-SHAFT MIXERSTwin-shaft mixers are perfectly suitable for the applicationin high-capacity ready-mix concrete plants, thanks totheir high mixing intensity and low wear. Great robustnessand reliability ensure cost-effective application. When using large grains, for instance as needed for damconstruction, it outclasses other mixing systems by far.Its discharge behaviour is unmatched. For use as a mortarmixer, it will be supplied with pole-switchable motors. For plants equipped with two pan mixers, either individually attached or commonhoppers as required by the customer couldbe installed. Details are agreed upon withthe customer.Hopper for transfer onto trucks or dumpers:the pneumatic slewable hopper is adaptedto the required discharge heights in orderto prevent large filling heights and soiling.Draining of the cleaning residues intothe recycling plant is done via additionalslewable draining equipment.Bucket system for application in conjunctionwith a precast concrete factory.

STANDARD OR SPECIAL EQUIPMENT.Technically perfect in the details.Powder weighing system for addition ofcoloured granules or microsilica. The plastic tanks for storing of the admixturesare filled from level ±0. All fill linesare centrally combined. The safety device to prevent overfilling ofthe cement silo meets the requirementsof the UVV. A squeeze valve in conjunctionwith an optional pressure controller preventsoverblowing of the cement silo.As standard, dedusting is done via airtightairbag. In order to keep the mixing plant’s platformsfree from dust to a large extent,a forced dedusting device can be installed.Thermal insulation of mixing and weighingplatform is done with sandwich or profiledplates/mineral wool/smooth plates. Thesection ±0 up to the lower edge of the platformcan optionally be covered. For thermalinsulation of the aggregate silo profiledplates/mineral wool will be used. The wide substructure of the cement silosis designed as portal construction. Besidethe control container, it can also accommodatesocial facilities, an admixture tankstorage or a heating system. The raised control container with MC controlsystem and high-voltage section allows freesight to the discharge hopper of the mixer.

10 | 11STETTER CONTROL SYSTEMS.Quality from own development and production.Stetter is well experienced in the development of control systems. The solutions are perfectly adapted to the requirementsand needs of the concrete industry.TRIED AND TESTED SOLUTIONS FOR THE CONCRETE INDUSTRYProduction of concrete requires more than just a simple control system for the mixing plant. A complete packagecomprises the preparation of quotations, the planning of orders, production of concrete, fleet management and invoicing.Different statistical evaluations are required to control production and turnover.
