It’s affordability andclose proximity to the airport and Easton TownCenter has proved to be beneficial to all.Craig Holman of The Columbus Dispatchwill be at the center of things working with committeemembers and the board to put together thisyear’s event.While specific speakers have not been confirmedas we go to press, one thing is certain. Stillphotographers will be looking to their videobrethren for basic video storytelling and editingskills.Lessons in multimedia and video will be thebackbone for this year’s event as more and morenewspapers beef up their web presence. BillGugliotta of The Plain Dealer and Television<strong>Ohio</strong> University student Matt Eich has beennamed the 2006 College Photographer of theYear, in the annual competition sponsored by theUniversity of Missouri.Judges selected the award-winning piecesfrom more than 12,500 image submissions byundergraduate and graduate students. Fourteen<strong>Ohio</strong> University students, all from the School ofVisual Communication, earned 25 awards.ONPA member, Katie Falkenberg earned theBronze award in the portfolio category.
