2.8 Credential Request Information<br />

The scope of credential request information is drive by the circumstances of the request (i.e., credential request type). Credential requests types are:<br />

• Issue – issue a new credential as part of initial issuance<br />

• Reissue – reissue a credential with termination of current credential done at finalization; keep current PIV card until new PIV card is finalized<br />

• ImmediateTerminateReissue – reissue credential with immediate termination of current credential; done when PIV card is lost or s<strong>to</strong>len<br />

• ImmediateTerminate – immediate termination of current credential; no re-issuance; done at termination of employee/contrac<strong>to</strong>r<br />

If CredentialRequestType set <strong>to</strong> 1, 2, or 3,<br />

the SIP initiates PIV card production. The<br />

SIP then sets ProcessStatusCode <strong>to</strong> 40 <strong>to</strong><br />

prevent repeat of card production<br />
